And, according to the article, half of those losses in the last month have been in CA. CA's had a severe impact on the unemployment rate, which nationally is still very low. I'm not saying the situation is great by any means, but it's clear CA is horribly run now.

I heard Rush say yesterday that hiring, employment increases, are LAGGING indicators of a growing economy.
If hiring people back means that we are already in a recovery, then what does laying off people represent?
Usually, doesn't it mean we are heading INTO a recession?
