RALEIGH, N.C. -- Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-N.C. paid a visit to North Carolina State University's College of Textiles Thursday to discuss the challenges facing the state's textile industry.
The state's first female U.S. senator said her seven months in office have been a learning process, but she is having the time of her life.

ACCKKK!!!!
One of Dole's main missions in the Senate is to correct the trade imbalance with China. She said that is partly to blame for Pillowtex and other textile failures across North Carolina.
Well Giddy, good to see you're up to at least accepting part of the blame for something, although I don't think your work in the Senate has to do with it as much as your and your husband's work with WalMart may
The state's first female U.S. senator said her seven months in office have been a learning process, but she is having the time of her life.
Learning process?!? What did her husband do for the past quarter of a generation?!? What does she need to learn? But at least she's having fun right?
"It's a different sort of thing, because I've been in the executive part of the government in the past, as secretary of transportation or labor. Or even in the private sector of public service with the Red Cross," she said.
And we all have to live with how much trouble you caused there Giddy. Filling up the states' coffers with tax officers on the side of the road handing out slips for people who don't wear a dern seat belt is not my idea, nor any other conservative's, idea of what business the national government should be in. Never mind third brake lights and airbags. But you don't care do you? It's for the 'children' right?
Sorry, rant off. That woman just grrrrr......

LOL! I could hear you gritting your teeth, though. ;)

I wrote letters to my two senators (Dole and Edwards) and to my congressman (Ethridge) asking them to oppose renewal of the assault weapons ban. The two dems responded. Dole didn't even bother.

Sen. Dole Talks About First Seven Months Serving N.C. She has served NC like Hillary has served NY. They are both party lackeys put in power to serve their prospective parties.

Being polite to protect the reputation of your mama's child-raising abilities can be painful.

I kinda like that she hasn't introduced as much legislation as everybody else, especially that ambulance chaser.

So do I, WE.
I'm of the opinion that if Washington just packed up & went home for a while that we would be just fine. :)

Being polite to protect the reputation of your mama's child-raising abilities can be painful. That is a fact to which I can attest. *g*

I just HAD to do it. :)
