Yeah, I had a Maine Coon. I used up one of those plastic ice cream tubs -- I think it was a one gallon container -- and then I filled it with water and left it by his dish. He loved it and he couldn't turn it over so he just paddled in it for a minute before he ate.

I have one greedy kitty and two normal ones. He snatches
huge bites and gorks them down. Once I boiled fish
carcases with lots of meat on them. He snatched the whole
thing, disappeared with it down into the cat house. Then
a few minutes later I found it deposited back on the ledge
of the cat house picked cleaner than Garfield ever cleaned
one. "Bring more," was the message.
