You're right on the latter part.

They have nothing to do with carpet-bagging, and everything to do with keeping his ratings up.

We've tried electing "pure" conservatives out here. It doesn't happen.

But he is not better than any Republican and there are going to be viable conservatives running in this race.

This yo-yo is not our only choice, and I predict he's going to fold up like a cheap lawnchair.
