[history]
They say everything leaks in politics except the airtight Bush White House. Add to that Arnold Schwarzenegger, who kept his announcement that he's running for governor of California so close to his chest that he stunned his own staff with the news. George Gorton, his political adviser, stood in the parking lot of "The Tonight Show" studio last night after the announcement and showed a reporter a statement he had prepared that began, "I have decided not to run

Well, I'm not going to count my chickens before they're
recalled, but I'm gong to keep praying to know what
each player's role is supposed to be in the whole picture.
Clearly Issa realized his, and I thank him with all my heart.
What class.

How is the Lt. Governor determined in California? If Arnold or someone else won, who would become Lt. Governor? Does Cruz walk based on this recall if Davis is out?

His charitable activities include a foundation that provides after-school programs for 200,000 kids and served as the inspiration for Proposition 49--an initiative he sponsored last year to expand after-school programs to every school in California. In a stroke of political genius, the initiative didn't raise taxes or cut any other program. Its funding mechanism only kicks in when economic growth naturally increases state revenues. Proposition 49 carried 50 out of the state's 53 congressional districts, winning endorsements from both Rep. Chris Cox, an Orange County Republican, and Rep. Henry Waxman, a Hollywood Democrat. The anti-Arnold people have been griping about this program as a sign that he is a tax and spend type. I did not know this about the program, and it is very important.
And look who supported it...Chris Cox, that well-known RINO. /sarcasm>

I agree with you though I know that CA is only substituting one liberal for another. The difference, though, is that they are substituting an amiable liberal for one who has a mean and contentious nature.Social lib, but fiscal moderate to conservative. Much better than Davis all around...

Gray Davis is toast.I wonder if the Klintons are still going to actively campaign on his behalf... Or, do they not want to be attached to a sinking ship?

Good points and I would agree. I would hope he has such an agenda in the works. He'll definitely have no problem getting publicity when he does so. Also, his success lies in being protrayed as a "fix it" candidate. No need to go negative on Grayout. Hehehehe....

I hope so (an easy victory for Arnold). I used to vote for the lesser of the evils. But Arnold will give us a fresh new outlook. So what if he's not a long time politician, they all lie, cheat on thier wives and steal anyway.
His history is the vision of the American dream, where anyone can make it if they really try. He is a man from the people of this great country and California needs a new fresh face. Arnold, I vote and I support you all the way.
