The problem on FR is that the purists refuse to accept the truth. An arch-conservative cannot win statewide in CA. It will never happen. And that's the bottom line. Arnold is our best chance and I actually think he'd be a great governor.

You are so right about that! Simon couldn't win when Davis was almost universally hated. We need a winner and Arnold IMO is that man.

Arnold is our best chance and I actually think he'd be a great governor. I'll preface my remarks by saying I'm not a Californian, so I don't really have a dog in the fight, but it seems to me that "winning" in California means becoming responsible for a huge mess - I hope it's not a Pyrrhic victory for our side.
