Stealth Californian (Dem) Petition out to reduce assembles votes needed to pass budget
Just a head up
I just got hit up to sign a petition on how the Californian budget is to be passed
What was pitcher is:
If the assembly does not pass a budget they dont get paid!
Sounds like something a Republican might support
However if you read it:
It really is to reduce the assembly votes required to pass a Californian state budget from 2/3 votes to 55%
... what the Dem are pushing

I got hit with the same thing about two weeks ago. I refused to sign after reading it.

I got pitched with that at the supermarket the other day. Obvious dem. The pitch was "Will you sign our petition to make the state pass the budget on time?"
The budget was already a month overdue. Told the kindly demo lady "I don't do democratic petitions".
Later saw her getting into a van with some young nitwit carrying on about how glad he was that Barbara Lee was his rep in congress. He was obviously trying to impress the dem apparatchik.

I'm sick to death from getting bludgeoned by Sacramento's monolith of deceitful democrats.
Our ONLY weapon against them is a GOP governor with his one LETHAL weapon: the line item veto!

Thanks for posting. I noticed the same thing and reacted with bloodshot rage. (Well, internal rage.)
Here's hoping that that petition drive fails or, if it succeeds in getting the 55% budget amendment on the ballot, that the deceptive "stealth" aspect of the drive can be used in ads urging a "No" vote!

I almost was ejected from a shopping center screaming about this petition. The title was TAX OFFSHORE BUSINESSES....but this was the petition. I kept asking the sig gatherer if he was ignorant or a liar. A crowd formed.
