"...she wields too broad a brush in painting Americans on the left side of the political divide as unpatriotic..."
I found the article to be a difficult read. After reading it twice, I focused in on one of the very first remarks.
Liberals are indeed the exact opposite of patriots, and they are trying to lead this country to ruin. They are either stupid, or they are evil. In either case, they need to be stopped from continuing with their destructive agenda!

Coulter's critics have a point, of course; her over-the-top generalizing makes it difficult if not impossible to take the book seriously (a far more judicious - and better-written - treatment of the subject is Mona Charen's "Useful Idiots"). But whatever degree of sympathy one might feel for liberals traumatized by Ms. Coulter's barbed prose dissipates rather quickly when one considers the way liberals have insisted on talking about the war in Iraq and its aftermath. Just another, I don't like how she says it, but she's right, commentary.
This is no review of "Treason", of course, but the author goes into more detail about exactly why Ann is right, than any reviewer has.
I found it a good read, with lots of good lines.

Mona Charens' "Usefull idiots" is a good history of the lefts love of communism and totalitarianism.
