But a lesser-known Catholic nominee, Leon Holmes, might just prove that the charge of anti-Catholicism could stick after all. This is from an e-letter that I receive. Has anyone else heard of this situation with Leon Holmes?

More than criticizing his antiabortion stance, though, some Democrats have gone so far as to call him a "misogynist" for his views on the mutual subjugation of husbands and wives as taught in the Bible.Yet, it's okay for women to be forced to wear burqas?

One of the strongest measures the Church could take to restore its moral credibility would be to excommunicate these Catholics of Convenience such as Kennedy, Kerry, Pelosi, Dodd and the others. Will they do it?
No way.

I haven't heard of him, but I'll be watching and listening. It's pretty sad that if you believe in morality the Dems don't think you should be a judge.
The San Diego courts just ruled that the Boy Scouts should be considered a "religion" because they don't allow homesexuals to be leaders in their organization, so the city shouldn't allow them to use their parks. It's really getting scary.

This is from an e-letter that I receive. Has anyone else heard of this situation with Leon Holmes? According to NARAL, 14 (pro-death) organizations oppose his nomination. Here is Planned Parenthood's argument.
It's open season on catholics and your post is one more affirmation. Thank you for posting it.

Here is an extract ...
"Holmes has explained his support for a constitutional amendment that would outlaw abortion, saying that "the abortion issue is the simplest issue this country has faced since slavery was made unconstitutional and it deserves the same response."4 He also dismissed concerns that a constitutional amendment banning abortion would not allow the procedure in cases of rape by saying that the "concern for rape victims is a red herring because conceptions from rape occur with approximately the same frequency as snowfall in Miami."3 In his writings, Holmes has even twice compared abortion to the Holocaust.4 "

"Referring to the recent trend in the Senate to stall voting on Catholic nominees to federal court positions, the ad implied that Democrats were beginning to apply a religion test to those nominees, effectively barring Catholics from federal benches."
"Article. VI.
Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
So the question needs to be asked:
If ( although if implies a nebulous quality that certainly comes into doubt when one listens to the comments from certain 'publice servants' ) certain Senators are applying a religious test as qualification for office, and therefore contemptuously ignoring their oath, what remedy is to be had? Because of the club-like nature of the Senate, impeachment and removal will not work.
Talk amongst yourselves.

Christians need not apply. Period.
