Taken from here
Looks like Vermonters are so upset at they are writing letters to Iowa Papers to inform them about the Real Howard Dean in the Daily Iowan(Must Register).
Letters to the Editor The true face of Howard Dean
I would like the people of Iowa to see the true face of Howard Dean before his campaign workers put so much lipstick on the pig that he becomes unrecognizable.
The people of Iowa should know that, thanks to Dean and his cronies in the Vermont Legislature, family farms in Vermont are going out of business at a rate never before seen in the state's history. Property taxes have risen to a point where people are being taxed out of their homes and off their land, and working people cannot afford even the most basic of services.
Dean has used our tax dollars to fund a rail service that has no passengers, a bike path that is so over budget it cannot be completed, and an educational system that consistently produces high-school graduates who cannot make change for a dollar nor find the United States on a map of the world if it were the only country outlined in red.
Dean does not belong in any public office, much less the office of president. He doesn't support the active defense of this country, he believes in taxing those who do real work to support those who don't, and he will do or say anything to get elected. I hope that he never gets the chance to do for America what he's done for Vermont.

Most of Vermont consists of Ben & Jerry liberals. I'm afraid the letter writers are the brave minority. The state after all did go for Algore the last time.

What really is amazing, is that there are people on this website that think Bush won't blow out Dean because Dean is viewed as a "Moderate".

Vermont is pathetic, and it still galls me that they get two senators when many states have several counties that are more significant.

Yup. One of their Senators is the infamous Jim Jeffords and the other one is Patrick Leahy. The official faces of Vermont in Washington and they're about as liberal as most of their state.

If population determined how many Senators you get, California would have 12 Senators voting 100% Rat in the Senate while Wyoming would have 1.
Is that what you want?

These need to be read aloud on FOX News, Limbaugh and anywhere else conservatives are still allowed to opine.

Well I guess Dean forgot to mention the homeless rate when he was bragging about VT not having a deficit huh?

Most of Vermont consists of Ben & Jerry liberals. I wonder how many homes were built on those farms that had to be sold because the taxes were to high to afford?

I understand the principle involved in determining the number of Senators. However, it does give extra power to tiny states, which unfortunately tend to be in liberal New England.
The Senate is overweighted with New England senators, as it has turned out, and I'm not sure that is what the Founders expected.

"The Senate is overweighted with New England senators, as it has turned out, and I'm not sure that is what the Founders expected."
Actually the founders wanted the Senate to be like this so that tiny states would have a voice in National Politics, and not be ignored like the British Government ignored it's subjects in the 18th Century.
Also they wanted there to be a ton of gridlock in the Senate and they clearly succedded for better or worse.

A little more than half of the thousands of records Dean accumulated during his nearly 12 years as governor are available to public scrutiny. The rest have been sealed and will not be opened until 2013, 10 years after Dean's tenure ended.
It is not unusual that governors ask that a portion of their records remain private for a number of years after their leave office. In Dean's case, it's the length of the seal -- a decade -- that's out of the ordinary.
Former Govs. Richard Snelling, a Republican, and Madeleine Kunin, a Democrat, agreed to six years worth of privacy before the full papers were opened to public scrutiny.
Shortly before he left office in January, Dean said he wanted a longer period because he already was running for the presidency.
"Well, there are future political considerations," he said at a news conference. "We didn't want anything embarrassing appearing in the papers at a critical time in any future endeavor."

Thousands! And the family farm has all but vanished in Vermont. Hundreds go out of business every year. With all due respect, so what? I know it has charm, and strikes a chord whenever the government wants to give away my money, but so what?
The market always favors the most efficient, which is why there are no family shoemakers anymore.
I doubt there are starving farm families in Vermont or anywhere else in America. If they can't make it financially, then they get out of the business. Just like every other business in America.
