I don't think the MiG-25 can go Mach 3.

Not in the sand, it can't.
I think it can actually. It's not maneuverable, but goes like a bat out of Chappaqua.

What does the head of your average liberal and a Mig-25 have in common...?
To: HighRoadToChina
I didn't know the Foxbat could do Mach 3. The SR-71 could do it... I don't even think F14's can (not sure)

The Russian made MiG-25 Foxbat recovered by U.S. Army troops in the pictures,
is an advanced reconnaissance version never before seen in the west and
is equipped with sophisticated electronics warfare devices. The author used "Russian" and "sophisticated" in the same sentence?

Imagine a soldier wandering around the desert with a metal detector finding a huge ping!

Neither one has enough sand covering it to do the job.

You beat me to the photos.

I'm sure those who rail against buried land mines have also critized the burying of such materials. I mean you never know when one of the chirrin might show up at their back door with a Foxbat in hand.

You'd be amazed at the latest Russian weapons.

Yes, it can. It's legendary speed is second only to the SR-71 Blackbird. The way that the Russians overcame the problems with heat is to make the skin of the aircraft out of steel and that made it one heavy son of a gun.

You think they could have shrink wrapped it before burying it.

I am an archaeologist, probably one of the two pro-Iraq war archaeologists in the country. Most are libs-to-socialists. These excavations are right up my alley. Anyone know how I can get on?
