[history]
Bathed in the public glare of his father's presidential campaign, 17-year-old Paul Dean took the first step Tuesday to enter a court diversion program that could wipe his record clear of a June burglary at the Burlington Country Club.
Former Gov. Howard Dean and his wife, Judy, accompanied their son to the Costello Courthouse on Cherry Street, where they were greeted by a small pack of reporters and photographers.

"Media glare" my foot.
Media glare is when the Bush sisters were on every news outlet for weeks on end because they had a drink. This guy was the getaway driver for a theft, yet I've only seen the story in a couple of places.

You've got that right, but,Bush was actually President when it happened so the press coverage would be greater.
Tne Bush girls did what we all have done, get a drink while under-age,but this kid was involved in a theft. It must be embarassing for the family.
I raised five kids and had my share of "jackpots" but thank God they are all middle-aged now.

Hey, can we paly the Je$$e Jack$on race card here? What if the perps were poor black kids stealing from a country club? WOuld they get off so easily or would they face hard time?
Also, does this country club discriminate against women, blacks, green gophers?

...wipe his record clear of a June burglary at the Burlington Country Club...All he needs to do is call Herr Slickmeister to do some arm-twisting, Arkancide style.

A kid obviously raised with fine values, eh? Yah, but he's still thinking too small. Steal from a country club, you get arrested. Steal from the whole country, and they call you Mr. Congressman.

or Sinator Clinton!

That could never happen, I bet no black can drive even a 1/4 mile in Vermont without having a gumball tailing them. Besides, they probably don't allow blacks at the club.

That's my point- is Dr Dean a club member? I mean he is a typical liberal democrat: rich, elitist and appealing to the masses of middle class workers because like DiFi,Boxer, Pelosi, Teddy, Corzine, Hillary and all of the other Dems, he's one of us!
Okay too much sarcasm in one sentence. :)
