Former Vice President Al Gore will deliver a "major speech" on Iraq to a liberal activist group in New York tomorrow, fueling speculation that he will re-enter the race for the Democratic nomination for president.

A member of MoveOn.org said Mr. Gore approached the group, founded to battle President Bill Clinton's impeachment, a few weeks ago about setting up the event.

In all honesty, Gore could do better than any of the current democrats have thus far.

In my opinion, he has a better chance of getting the core of the dim party on his side, simply by stirring their anger about the Florida recount.

It might happen. We all know that it has to come down to what the Clintons tell McCauliffe to tell Gore.

"Whatever Al Gore has to tell us will be relevant," Miss Brazile said.

I'm glad she cleared that up.

"That's comparing apples and oranges," she said. "He's a statesman."

Bull shi'ite. He's about as statesman-like as a totum pole, well, maybe a wooden indian. (That "wood" make a fun logo for Al Bore... a wooden indian.) If Al got near a termite mound, he'd be toast!

it has to come down to what the Clintons tell McCauliffe to tell Gore.

Yes. Right now the Clintons are trying to get the heat off Hillary. There is mounting internal pressure for her to save the party from Dean, but the Toons want none of it. Best put that mantle on Gore. He is going front and center so that the Dem realists can shift over to him instead of Hillary for 2004. He's not going to run, though. This is just cover for Hillary. That's what's going on. Take it from this former highly placed Democratic operative turncoat.

It's gotten to the point that Bill Clinton is actually trying to elevate Bush's poll numbers so that the Dem party faithful will forgive Hillary for not running. For 2004, Bill Clinton and George Bush are actually on the same team, and it will likely yield that Dean nomination we are all rooting for. What an amusing game to watch as their party remains hamstrung and castrated by that one pathetic sociopath.
