Stephen Claypole, the so-called sympathic voice for the coalition in Iraq who walked out after complaining about the US losing the propaganda war, is a Brit left-wing wanker, a major player for the left.
Too bad FoxNews didn't do a little research when they reported the story straight from the left-wing, anti-Coalition Guardian on Fox & Friends this morning:

06/02/1998 AP Appoints Two Television Executives
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 2, 1998
New York (AP) Derek Taylor and Stephen Claypole have been appointed to new management positions in the international television division of The Associated Press.... Claypole, who launched APTV four years ago, has been appointed to International Director of the broadcast division of AP. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in the international television market. He joined APTV in 1994 and in six months, brought to life AP's video agency in a competitive market that had seen only two players in the previous 40 years.
AP President and Chief Executive Officer Louis D. Boccardi said, "Under Stephen, APTV has quickly established itself as a global provider of high-quality television news.
~~~
Both Taylor and Claypole will report to AP's Washington, DC-based vice president of broadcasting, Jim Williams.
The company yesterday also announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire ABC News' stake in Worldwide Television News (WTN) and said the timing of the two announcements was coincidental.
Repetition of WTC footage was 'pornographic'
Jessica Hodgson Wednesday November 14, 2001
Stephen Evans, the BBC correspondent who provided breaking news coverage from the scene of the World Trade Centre on September 11, has described the relentless repetition of pictures of the terrorist attack as "pornographic". "As a viewer, and as someone on the ground in New York, I found the hourly repetition of images pornographic," he said. At the Newsworld conference in Barcelona, other broadcasters admitted unease with some of the material used. The former BBC senior editor and APTN founder, Stephen Claypole, also said he thought the repeated use of footage of the planes crashing into the towers and their subsequent collapse was "pornographic".Link
Stephen Claypole, WpN Chairman of the Board. Mr. Claypole has launched a number of large-scale news operations on a global level. Responsible for the $100 million launch of APTV into a crowded, competitive market within six months, including the creation of newsrooms in London, Washington and Hong Kong, and TV operations at 80 other datelines. Mr. Claypole has also been responsible for running Reuters World TV news service. He set up the Sky News newsgathering network in the UK, and established the first large-scale Western news operation in the x-USSR. He has pioneered new techniques in SNG (Satellite News Gathering), and was responsible for daily business and finance programs transmitted from Tokyo to the Fox network in the US and Sky News in the UK.Link
Intention to change the culture of the ABC came from the Board
How credible is the assertion by British television executive Stephen Claypole, shortlisted for the managing director's position in late 1999, that "some of the ABC board members who chose Jonathan Shier as their new managing director wanted a candidate who would remove a list of Labor Party 'sympathisers' from the broadcaster"? Mr Claypole is reported as saying that during interviews and talks with ABC board members in Sydney he was surprised to hear some directors start talking about pro-Labor Party "on-screen personalities and senior executives" in the national broadcaster. "It was clear they had a list of people they wanted to get rid of," he said. "Clearly there was an agenda for a very radical overhaul of the ABC." Link
Propaganda wars, indeed. The internet, a handful of newspapers around the world, one TV station still following the NY Times lead lest it come under the full wrath of the rat pack, a few talk radio hosts and pundits vs. the VLWC.
Today's left cares about the Iraqi people? Criticizing, sowing dissent, lying daily about the situation on the ground, comdemning those in the arena doing the difficult work, day after day for four months and 17 days...and counting.
My pleasure. Florida 2000 and 2002 was inspirational - Freepers armed with facts bypassing the press, going straight to the people. The left still doesn't know what happened. When we get tired of dancing to their tune, responding to the daily accusations, we can go on offense - and we so have the facts on our side in this war!
He doesn't mention that the footage was edited, that after the first hours, no one ran the video of the people jumping out of the buildings. I doubt anyone will see that footage again, unless they find it on the internet.
I am not trying to make light of those people that jumped. To me, that signified how terrible that day was. To jump out of the buildings, instead of dying inside, is a horrific choice. May God bless their souls.
Thank you for the heads up - and for remembering. Calling the 9-11 film "pornographic" is all I needed to know about David Westin's co-worker at AP.
I know. It's important that we see - and remember. Daryl Worley (sp) captured that well in his song "Have You Forgotten?"
This press needs a serious reality check - time spent digging mass graves under the watchful eyes of Saddam's victims, perhaps.
I don't listen to music on the radio. About five months ago, my husband made me listen to Worley's song.
I started weeping. My husband was surprised by my reaction.
I believe September 11th was the day that the world changed, and I won't forget that day. I won't forget the fear, the death, the grieving. I won't forget that those people that died were just the beginning of what bin Laden had planned. He wanted twelve planes to crash in different cities. The estimate number of casualties was supposed to be 50,000, I have heard.
I weep, because my children will never know what America was like before September 11th. And, I grieve for the innocence that they have lost. I grieve for the sacrifices that our military is making today, for my children's future. My children will be forever indebted to them, as I am.
The only thing wrong is your apparent predisposition to believe that Fox really wants to be anything other than a leftist lapdog.
Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, one of the most anti-christian, anti-american, anti-freedom spokesmen on planet Earth.
Whatever is happening at Fox, you have to accept that it is all illusion, to provide the opiate for the masses.
