"Al-Qaida operatives have shown a special interest in converting a camera flash attachment into a stun gun type of weapon or improvised explosive device," the advisory said

Dammit! Another Freeper was correct. Terrorists and TSA jackals read FreeRepublic

A while back, I provided several possible scenarios in how terrorist could take over an aircraft without using guns. Guns having limited magazine capacity and are dificult to get on board, the only benefit they have is that they are noisy and produce blood - things that scare people. So I recommmended carrying on several electronic devices as stun-guns, virtually unlimited capacity, escapes detection and can be operated in group attacks.

I also recommended getting the bored marshalls off the plane because they are easily lured into interfering in even the lamest of situations. All one passenger had to do is act up, the trigger happy air marshall will quickly identify him/herself and those with stun-guns could quickly dispatch the moron and disarm him - thus having a truly scary and high-capacity firearm.

I was a LAX recently. It took 2 hours to get the bags ex-rayed. I don't have a problem with waiting if it will make a flight safer.

Did it ever occur to any of these morons that they ought to have a separate line for those with electronic devices. That would accomplish two things. Those who travel without the devices would not be held up. Those who travel with the devices would either have to plan on extra time in security or else think about whether traveling with the electronic device is really worth the extra hassle.

Would somebody please buy Norm Mineta a new baseball bat?
