Joe Scarborough: a Useful idiot for the Left? (vanity)
Posted on 08/05/2003 7:58:07 PM PDT by faithincowboys
While Scarborough Country often contains segments that are useful to conservatives, over all he has become a vessel for the Left's agenda. He routinely attacks Fox News-- the only network that doesn't mock conservatives.
Tonight Joe gave a air time to an ex CIA agent who is totally anti-Bush. This guy is nemed Larry (I forgot the moron's name), yesterday he was on Hardball. He is a guy that comes off as the antithesis of an expert. Generally, ex CIA guys exude competency and look like members of an elite corp of men. This guy looks like a Wackenhut wannabe.
He is clearly evidence of what is wrong with the Agency. If they are taking guys like him, I know why 9-11 happened.
Joe Scarborough let this idiot dimbulb say that Bush was mishandling the War on Terror and that we aren't facing terrorists in Iraq. Clearly, this idiot Larry doesn't get that if Al Qaeda came to Lower Manhattan they can get to Iraq. It is this kind of thinking that allowed 9-11 to happen. Joe didn't challenge the turd Larry at all. Instead he tied Larry's criticisms to Bob Graham's-- thus giving "independent" creedence to Graham. I wonder If the DNC has funny photos on Larry or perhaps they have him on the payroll. Maybe the Dems told Larry they would make him a big in Counter-terrorism in a Dem Presidential administration.
Also, the idiot Larry is very Osama focused. Of course, that makes sense, but why don't these people wonder aloud why Osama hasn't made a video during the Iraq War. And the new Zawahiri tape is basically about prisoners at Gitmo. WHy wasn't Zawahiri talking about the war in Iraq and the resistance that Saddam Fedayheen is mounting?
Joe should leave Bush-bashing to liberals. Hardball is nothing but one big jihad against Bush. Joe should instead refute the arguments of Matthew's. Why doesn't he have Terry Jefferey on to taalk about his latest column-- the one that documents ho a hardline, nuclear weapon wanting member of the Batthist regime went to Niger on a trade mission in 1998. It is why Bush said the 16 words. Also, Joe S. might want to show how all the Dems were anti-Saddam in 1998, how they all (when Clinton was in office) thought Iraq had WMD. I want an endless stream of video of all those Dems in 1998. If Joe Scarborough is reading this, he better start fighting the Left. Maybe then he could get above a .03 in the ratings.

I guess people are just now seeing the light. I got tired of arguing with MSNBC supporters during the Iraq war. They got my goat then and I still have not watched them, except for a occasional IMUS.

Yeah, but Joe is supposed to be different. He is wasting his show. He should hammer the Hell out of the hypocritical Left, instead he is amplifying their arguments. \
He even hammered Bush for his "Bring em on" comment.

If you think Bush-bashing should only be done by liberals then you have a problem. I'm conservative and I'll bash Bush endlessly.

Imus is entertaining but he can be a jerk to. He caught the "anti-Dick Cheney" bug from the Left. Also Bernie Mcgurk said that Paul Begala was right for saying Dubya lied about the War and has the blood of our soldiers on his hands. The I-man is even a jerk. He recently said that had his vote counted John Mccain would be President-- does he know that McCain is one of the biggest hawks on Iraq??
The Left is incoherent!

Joe is one of the good guys.
You cannot be fair and balanced without showing the other side. (CNN's downfall)
I want a news channel that tells all sides and let's the viewer use their own mind.
An "Everything we do is great" channel for the right is as worthless as that which has gone on for years.
(Unless you think propaganda is a good thing)

Sorry even if I was on a competing network, I wouldn't be my Liberal boss's attack dog on a network that better articulates my philosophy. That is cannibalism. When does a Leftist journalist attack another Leftist media entity-- never. The Right always eats its' own.

On foreign policy, Bush is pretty darn good. About the only other things I would like to see him do is tear up that $15,000,000,000.00 check for Africa AIDS embezzlement and pass the savings onto the American people and get the US out of the UN and give them their eviction notice from their HQ in NYC.
Domestically, really the only thing he's done well is getting the 2 tax cuts through. Disasters have been backing the assault weapon ban, MORE $$ for Dept of Education, MORE non-defense federal spending increases than even CLINTON and failure to stand up to Democrats on hardly ANYTHING that involves more money to government programs(he hasn't voted a single spending bill since being inaugurated).
I like Bush (got to meet him in Atlanta). I'm just fairly disappointed in him.

I agree he is a jerk. I get a laugh out of him occasionally. I hate Bernie. IMUS did say that he would vote for Bush unless something changes his mind.

Why isn't Joe showing endless tape of Kerry and Graham and the rest of the SOBS in 1998.
We are letting them bloody are guy. We are letting them create the belief in the minds of too many Americans that Dubya was the only one to ever claim Iraq had WMD. They all claimed it and no one is effectively showing their hypocrisy.
When my enemy attacks my guy in an unfair and dishonest way, I am gonna make it damn expensive. We need to bloody them. They will keep up these BS attacks if it doesn't cost them anything. Right now they are laughing about how incapable Center-Right media types have been in setting the record straight. Nobody has exposed the Left and guys like Scarborough are going after friendlies. He has become a weapon in their arsenal and he does it with the face and idiom of somebody from the Florida Panhandle-- alot different then when an obvious pinko like Dean or Kucinich does it.

Reagan let the Congressional Dems spend the Hell out of our tax money too.

Well if I have to be the Lefts propaganda machine to make a buck then I am one sorry SOB.

Agreed. Check the latest ratings and you'll see why. MSNBC is getting killed and old Joe realizes he might be on a sinking ship. He's always been a little too sleazy or obnoxious for my tastes. He just never did sit well with me, despite his Republican past.

I agree that the spending spree has got to stop. I think and believe that he will help to get it under control over the next few years. It would not be a good legacy even justified with military spending.
As to the 15B to African aids. It is really only 7B on top of what we were doing previously. It has the added drug benefits, and The rats are already accusing the admin of now funding it 100%.
The 15B number was all inclusive and I doubt they will ever spend all of it. I have some misgivings about doing anything at all. Seems like the more you do the bigger the problem gets.
