An idiot who needs a babysitter to keep him from self destructing. Having no babysitter since his first trainer, he self destructed.

In 10 years, if he is still alive, he will be washing dishes in a diner somewhere.
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
He's pretty stupid.

My guess is that he bombed math in school.

Tyson - the Bozo - must have had a sign tacked on his back that read "Take my money - please". He's apparently dumber than I thought he was - man, he's pretty close to winning
dumb-@ss fool of the century award.

The fighter frittered away millions on bling bling, Bentleys and even Bengal tigers what is that?

I have noticed that a celebrity can go through hundreds of millions of dollar in decadent waste and nothing is said about it, but just let a conservative propose a few hundred dollar tax cut and all Hades breaks loose.

If they ever make the movie Brewster's Millions II, they will have the perfect actor in Tyson.
How do you piss away 300 million ???

The former heavyweight champion amassed a $300 million fortune from his ring earnings This is very misleading. A boxer walks away with probably 20% of the advertised purse. I heard an interview with Buster Douglas (someone who handled his money well) in which he describes seeing approximately $1.5 mill on a reported $10 million pay day. They gotta pay the ring men, the trainer, the promoter, the IRS, the bodyguards, etc. Any additional frivolous expenses can easily break them.

My understanding is that the 300 million was Tyson's cut from all his fights, meaning if you added all the purses won up it'd be around a billion. But I may be wrong....

Shame on tyson. Glitz, jewels, limos, fake friends, etc., etc....where is it all now? Where are all his "hanger on friends now?" Are any of these friends bailing him out? I think not.
Sorry, can't feel sorry. There are too many people who would have loved to have had some of that money so they could budget and provide for their children, food, housing and charity. Nope, no way. The loss is his and it's a crime to spend and lose that kind of money in such a frivilous manner. It's downright sinful to make and lose that much by being so irresponsible.
To: SirAllen
Yikes! I doubt that
only because there has been much talk about Tiger Woods becoming the first athlete with $1 billion in lifetime earnings (including endorsements, etc.) and he's a long way from it.
I figure Tyson's had maybe 15 high paying fights. The $300 mil has to be the high side.
