What I don't understand is why it's assumed she would win the Governorship in CA. I find it hard to believe this witch is actually so popular. I find her disgusting.

Nice try - it made me think for a minute - but wouldn't she then lose her committee assignments and seniority?
I don't think she's going to leave the Senate. Senate's a near-lifetime position, governor's no more than 10 years (and that if term limits don't count the filled-in term).
We think our bench is thin as Republicans; seems to me their bench is just as bad, if not worse, since DiFi is the only person they think could win after years of Democratic dominance.
