"Only one of them is on fire and they're working to make sure that it stays that way and to contain the burning whisky that's coming out of that warehouse," Green said

You may recall this happened perhaps a year ago at the Wild Turkey distillery near Lawrenceburg, KY. Much of the burning burbon ran down the embankment, ended up in the Kentucky riverAnd those memories are fresh in the watch staff here in Frankfort at this hour. We've got our people headed down there now. ATF has been called in, too. We might have to deal with a HazMat spill out of this yet...

A friend of mine is a helicopter pilot currently stationed in Bosnia. He and his guys like JD, but since JD doesn't come in 750 ml plastic bottles like Jim Beam does I've been mailing him a few bottles of Jim every month or so (apparently it's ok, but they can't get it over there).
So we must SAVE THE JIM! Our military depends on it! ::lol::
I have a thing for Maker's Mark, myself, but will even drink Old Crow if thats all thats around.

Wild Turkey would have been a hotter fire, being mostly 50% alcohol.

There is a Jim Beam plant about 3 miles from me, in Cincinnati.
Yes, folks, some of that Kentucky Bourbon is made in Ohio.
Talk about false advertising!

There goes Teddy Kenedy's supply! According to court records from the Willie Smith rap case, his tradional Easter Morning pick me up was Long Island Ice tea:
It's not summer in the Hampton's with out one:
In a Collins Glass with Ice
1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Rum
1/2 oz. Tequila (optional)
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz.Sweet & Sour
Top with Coke
Garnish with a lemon twist
No Jim Beam.

"Please let it be the Green Label that's on fire!"
Isn't it Jack Daniels that has a green label and a black label?
And, the Ted Kennedy remarks are totally inappropriate. Bourbon is an American drink made in America, for Americans. Teddy drinks vodka, lots of vodka.

Then theres Bacardi 151 (151 proof that is). And in my family lets just say there were a few 'shine runners. They actually determined the price by how long a certain amount burned.
