As a former prosecutor I was introduced to a system that ran out of Springfield Missouri that essentially did the same but tracked criminal networks. That was twenty years ago. Can you imaging the updates since then? We could put a drug dealer with others in a matter of minutes. It may not be provable in a court but it gave the investigators plenty of headway in whom to watch.
