It's a good thing.

Lear 35's are tricky. I flew one until about a year ago. They can be a real beast in these areas:
- Fuel management (if you get a fuel imbalance in the Lear35---you can lose control quickly)
- Single engine go-arounds (you need full rudder, and I mean FULL rudder) to keep the aircraft from going out of control....especially with Garret engines
- Pressurization: easy to make a mistake (see: Stewart's crew, Payne). I took off without a switch called "Cabin Air" in the on position. I was climbing towards the Alps when the lights and bells went off...and you can't just turn the switch on in mid-air, you have to re-set the outflow valves.

I hope that's not the case, as I've appreciated your very informed posts.

Crashes on any approach after the first one is missed are usually result of pilot trying to descend below minimums. Groton is also a horrible aprport to get into in any weather. It's right by the LI Sound and it's a fog magnet.

I hope not as well because that would be contrary to what I have always thought Jim stood for.
