He said it was $7 million more than nonunion bids for his $46 million makeover of the Cherry Hill Apartments, a rundown landmark on the vital Route 38 corridor.

He decided to go nonunion.

Now Healey, 74, the son of a former union leader, said unions and their powerful allies in Camden County government are showing him what they think of his decision.

Look for the Union Label.

(its written on the back of unmarked bills, stuffed into a brown paper bag given to a chronically unemployed nephew who has a drinking problem.)

Bump for great freeping.

I think it is high time the FBI got involved. I know they have been very busy in the past ten years in Camden and vicinity, hauling Democrat politicians and related scumbags off to jail by the dozens. This includes two former Camden mayors.

The corruption in New Jersey, and in the Camden area especially, is monumental. It is a cancer that must be dealt with one tumor at a time. The FBI should start with the Norcross mob, including their lieutenants Saccomanno and Kricun, and move on from there.

My company binds books for the printing trade. It is astonishing how much printing for unions is done by non-union printers, who are told by the unions to print a illegible union bug on the work. Even unions try to avoid paying union prices whenever they can. I'm even more surprised the union leadership doesn't get caught.

Caught by who? frank lautenberg or the corrupt judges that appointed him?

Because, despite the cr*p we have to deal with sometimes, it remains one of the most interesting, diverse and wealthiest states in the country.

Corruption is not unique to New Jersey and it is not as heavily entrenched at the local level as it is in some other areas of the United States.

And at least here in NJ you can actually try to fight municipal corruption without ending up dead or run out of town on a rail.

A nice defense of our state!

For myself, I must say always, New Jersey had been very very good to me!

See you on the local boards, I hope!

Yes, due to home rule, we can make a difference locally, although few people get involved.

Regarding the Commerce Bank millionaire, George Norcross and family, it's very distubing that this guy seems to have many laymwkers in his pocket. And, regarding the corruption, it's on both sides. Look at the highest ranking Republican in the state, Bennett. (He's also a big pro-abortion guy) He's been playing the game for years; hiring his relatives, overbilling municipalities for legal work, subcontracting municipal legal work and pocketing the difference, failing to report his income from municipal deals, etc. In New Jersey, corruption is an equal opportunity game, it seems.

Mw too. Although born and raised in New york. I've lived in New Jersey for 10 years and will stay here for the rest of my life. I like home rule, the small towns, the beaches and the proximity to Manhattan. All this, and great parks too!

Caught by who?

Their membership. Then again, I'm not surprised. I mean, unions generally believe that everyone is entitled to above average wages.
