We here at the Freep recognized what President Bush was doing way back when it started. Anyone who has studied how Bush works could see it. It was bold, it was innovative, and it worked.

Thanks for the ping, Mike! Excellent artiicle, and spot on!
I note that the agreement by North Korea to multilateral talks was passed over due to the continuing flap over uranium, but we are making great progress there and the President should be congratulated.
Just once, I wish someone in the mainstram media would at least agree that he is NOT stupid...but then again, I wish I would win the Lotto, as well.
To: Miss Marple
Yea but... The longer they keep calling him stupid the more he makes them look like fools. How can they possibly explain why they keep getting their clocks cleaned by someone they consider stupid?

The last time North Korea rattled the nuclear saber, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter capitulated like frightened Cub Scouts listening to scary campfire stories. Clinton gave North Korea free oil, food and light water nuclear technology in exchange for a promise to stop playing with nuclear toys. Excellent article .. I just have one disagreement .. IMO Carter and Clinton weren't frightened .. Carter knew exactly what he was doing

But Bush has performed a master stroke. Recognizing a nuclear loose cannon in North Korea is a far greater threat to China than the United States, Bush simply ignored Kim. When you think about it this was the only answer. The DPRK was China's problem and now that China is becoming an economic power Money trumps Ideology.

And, of course, there is the fact that Japan and Taiwan probably are already working on nukes.
At least, I would be working on nukes in their position.

"Excellent article, Thanks for posting it."
...my pleasure!
Yes, we do get noisy, sometimes, to get what we want when
windows of opportunity/urgency come along, but I haven't
doubted the President's tactical expertise (and his team's)
for one day. And he's a man of courage. Hooah.

Sweetie, I don't suppose you have noticed but Bush doesn't have any sons, only daughters.
And Iraq was an easy target? Tell that one to Iran and Kuwait.
China thought they could attack us through North Korea. They blew it big time. Now they not only have to reign them in but they have to keep them from falling apart.
Why should we do anything? With this stupid move they just got their worse nightmare. A re-militarized Japan, a South Korea asking us to stay, Taiwan waking up and then the little nut case decided to threaten Australia. Not exactly the outcome China wanted.

This article is from "MensNewsDaily.com"? Hmmm...

Your intellectual kneejerkism that going to war solves everything is so quaint, but it exposes you to just ridicule.
Keep it up if you want.
If we must take on NK militarily, we will do so. Right now, we are dealing with another matter in the middle east tryint to change the situation there.

Like Reagan, Bush will receive no credit for a brilliant victory nobody recognizes. But then again, they rarely do.Reagan and Dubya' are a rare breed and request no recognition for a job well done. Some ex's strive for recognition even when it is not deserved of them.
This is a great posting for the labelers of "Bushbots" to read and contemplate.
