The pastor at my Toronto Catholic church mentioned this article/author in his homily today at Mass....what is true of Canadian politicians is EXACTLY the same of American politicians....Dick Gephardt (from my hometown back in St. Louis MO) is a PRIME example of a waffling, no-spine politician....Regards from Toronto -- ConservativeStLouisGuy

How true. Mr. Gephardt was "pro-life" early in his career--that is, until he had aspirations for higher office. Then he flipped, and has been pro-choice ever since.
Choose what? Death for the unborn---but not choice of which school a child attends according to the parents' preference.

A bit of muscle flexing by the Vatican can only be a good thing. These weasel politicians have been getting a free ride for a very long time. The Vatican now seems to see that it has to play offense too. They have been taking it on the chin from the liberal media and it is time for some reaction.
Let the Games begin. My prediction is that the first casualty of this business is going to be the presidential aspirations of one Senator John Kerry. He has already stuck is foot in his mouth, and he won't be able to double talk his way out of this business.

The solution is simple. If you don't agree with the teachings of the Catholic Church get out. - Tom

It's easy for them because they ain't Catholic. Catholic is just another label to them like African-American, gay, etc. It has no deeper meaning to them.
