Amazing how when "Gay Christians" encounter those scriptures which prohibit homosexuality..............
...all of a sudden their comprehension becomes fuzzy....
...and scripture can have "multiple meanings" and one must explore "deep reading" and every translation in every language in order to find out what it "really means."

This is so laughable. Nothing could be more clear than "thou shalt NOT".
All of us know what these passages mean.

These gay Christian "teachers" are just deceiving people into believing they can customize the Bible to suit their personal sins.

The next verse, Ezekiel 17:50 goes on: "And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good." However, "abomination" is not defined in Ezekiel.

The sexual nature of these "abominations" is suggested in 2 Peter 2:6-7;
"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction...and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked"..

In Jude 7 we similarly read "Like wise Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural lust, serve as an example by undergoing punishment"[NRSV].

.... indicate that homosexuality is a sub- category of fornication.
That this is the type of fornication being described here.

There, it is written that after the two angels arrived & while they were being entertained by Lot, the men of Sodom went to Lot's house and demanded that the men be brought out "so that we may know them." Sounded pretty definite at first.

But Lot's reaction was to offer them, instead, his own two "virgin daughters" so they would leave the angels alone.

Lot presumably knew his fellow citizens better than we can possibly do, and presumably thought they would be more interested in a couple of nice Jewish girls than any visiting males. This does not sound as though the besetting sin of the city was homosexuality.

Why did you stop reading there?

The men REFUSED Lot's offer of his daughters.

They DID NOT want women.
They were clearly homosexuals.

That is why this passage says the men outside of Lot's house demanded he give them the MEN inside Lot's house so the could know (have sex with) them.

That is called homosexuality.

There is absolutely nothing confusing about this passage.

I hear repeatedly from the Phag advocates claiming to "follow Jesus' teaching of 'inclusiveness' within the church".

Where might I find that - or what BCV do they cite to support their interpretation?

I'm fairly familiar with the scriptures - but I can't find any reference to an "inclusive" church.

Ah, the WEASEL WORDS they use!!! "Inclusive language" means elimination of "male" terms for God. The use of the Triune name, "Father, Son, and Holy Sprit" is considered "exclusive", and is thus verboten. Eliminating the Triune name of God is not a "language" issue--it is HERETICAL denial of the Trinity, pure and simple!!!! And the gay/feminazi "theologians" prove me right on this in their actual statements in their conferences!!!

And then there is the way that they look down their oh-so-"sophisticated" noses at how orthodox believers interpret the Bible. If you don't go along with the gay-friendly distortion of scripture, you're just a DUMB "FUNDAMENTALIST". Then why is it that virutally NONE of the recognized theological leaders in my denomination--the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America--support the gay agenda? (Of course, some of them have left the ELCA for Eastern Orthodoxy or Catholicism because of the liberalism of the ELCA's mis-leaders, and nearly all of them have strong Orthodox connections as I--a "lowly" layman--do also.) Why is it that ALL of the Orthodox Church, not to mention global-south and Eastern European Lutheran and Anglican churches, oppose the gay agenda totally? Are we all "dumb fundamentalists"?

The gay "Christian" view that God created multiple sexualities, and all are equal, goes against the positive, loving message of scripture, from Genesis through the Gospels to Paul. (Beating on Leviticus, as the gay charlatans love to do, just doesn't make it!!!) And I see from the WOW website (which is a slow-loading piece of garbage on top of everything else) that they are blaspheming the Holy Eucharist with salacious "queer theory".

These gay fifth columnists--with their clarion call to apostasy--should be thrown on the DUSTBIN OF HISTORY--sooner rather than later!!!!

other Biblical commentators say that the "sin of Sodom" was the failure to offer hospitality to strangers, a cardinal sin in the ancient as it is in the modern Near East.

Name ONE, just one credible commentator not affiliated with a liberal organization that says gang rape is really only failure to offer hospitality. That sin of hospitality stuff is the gay spin. The passage was clear enough by itself: The homosexuals wanted to rape the strangers. Maybe they should have been hospitable and invited them to tea before they raped them.
