Anyone that opens an email attachment with that kind of text deserves what they get.

I am totally clueless about computers and things like this scare me, but I was told to never open any new email unless I am sure where it is coming from. :-}

I got an e mail earlier that gave me instructions for protecting my P.C. against any viruses.  It had something to do with renaming my C drive.  Gotta say, the P.C.'s been a little cranky since I did that, but it's nice to know I'm safe.

Many people are not computer savvy and are vulnerable to these things. Especially if your virus scan does not flag it.

A few months ago I got sent the Ganda virus and Norton let it through. I was suspicious and deleted it without reading it. A few days later it came back and was flagged as a virus by Norton. If you are the first in your neighborhood to get a new virus you may not have an updated virus scan that can detect it. - tom

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you since so many of those subject lines are giveaways that they're viruses. Except, in this case, the subject line specifically refers to "your email". In my case, i've been involved in the last week with changing both my personal email and my website email addresses (numerous emails going back and forth on the subject)...and the legitimate subject lines have always referred to my email address. Knowing that this was going on, my husband tipped me off not to open any more emails with that subj line till my dats were updated (just finished, thank you very much). So, anyone who's changing email addresses could be snookered by this new worm.

We started getting this worm around noon.

Fortunately only one person opened the attachment....

Unfortunately, he was my boss...The IT Manager...

I need to get a new job....
