Baer speaks fluent Arabic and has spent many years in the cauldron of the Mid-East, acting as an operational CIA agent. If anybody knows the terrain on the ground there, it's him.

Baer is very tough on the gutless CIA and how Clinton and his cronies gutted our intel capabilities. In fact, Clinton (through Sandy Berger) and the DOJ tried to prosecute him for attempted murder under the "foreign leader assassination clause" because Baer was putting together a coalition of anti-Saddam elements in northern Iraq who had designs on Saddam's head as well as his government.
