Anyone reading about the Brutality and Life Under Saddam that doesn't believe Saddam should have been removed from power isn't facing reality IMO -- that includes the DemocRAT candidates who have been attacking President Bush for his Liberating Iraq and removing Saddam! The quotes from Iraqi's tell the story of their Joy at their new found Freedom from Saddam and his two evil sons.
Please use this information and more from the White House website at Operation Iraqi Freedom - A White House Special Report to defend President Bush and his Administration!

This is mandatory reading for all you know that may question why the Bush Administration was intent on removing Saddam from power along with his two sons. Please distribute!
This sent chills down my spine as I was preparing this to be posted to realize that we left this brutal dictator and his two sons in power all these years and that the DemocRAT candidates for President are questioning Saddam's removal yet today.
After reading this, let anyone tell you that Saddam and his two sons should have remained in power and been contained. There shouldn't be an adult in this Country after reading these details that wouldn't believe that Saddam should have been removed.
Please use this information to write letters to the editor, send email to the Liberal Media, and phone radio talk shows with your disgust for anyone that dares question why Saddam Hussein and his two sons were removed from power and why his two sons were killed. Next Saddam should meet the same fate as his two sons and hope Saddam's death comes in a slow painful way for how he treated his own people IMO!

Thanks PKM, some of those stories are heartbreaking.
To: Libertina
I couldn't resist posting that picture! Says it all if you ask me -- Pres Bush is a real man who was not afraid to take action to remove Saddam and his regime versus a bunch of wimps running for the DemocRAT nomination who would never have had the fortitude to go ahead with the removal of Saddam after the UN balked!

I knew it was bad in Iraq but until I read these stories I had no idea how bad it was. What I don't understand is how the media can attack President Bush on the removal of the Saddam regime including his two sons after reading what a brutal dictator he was while in power along with his two brutal sons.
As for Howard Dean's attacks on the President along with Kerry and others over those 16 words -- I find it despicable! If the American people were told the truth by our media about the shallow attacks by the DemocRATs on President Bush, maybe they would see for themselves what unqualified candidates are running for President on the DemocRAT ticket with the most unqualified of all Hillary waiting in the wings.
I am madder at the media after doing this today then I was before and I was absolutely disgusted before!

I've known about it for a long time, especially about the Marsh Arabs. Saddam wiped out a way of life that has been around since before history was recorded. It was one of the most beautiful, fruitful, and interesting places in the world. A way of life that was totally unique. Saddam built dams to punish them and the marshlands dried up. All the fish, and water fowl, and a lifestyle that people had been living for thousands of years....gone. Most of the Marsh Arabs are now dead, only a very few of them remain.
To: McGavin999
I remembered about the marshes and the good news is that water is flowing in that region once again after they got rid of the dams of Saddam! The crime that Saddam did against his own people should have had every member of the United Nations demanding his removal instead of trying to keep him in power!

The UN is useless, as are many of the human rights groups. They would rather sanction us then go against a despot.
Do you think for a minute that the UN was not fully aware of what was happening there? It took a man of real courage to do something about it, and he's been crusified for it from the beginning. Fortunately for us, and for the Iraqis, he still did the right thing.
My disgust for the french and germans knows no bounds as a result of this, and the UN will never have my respect ever again.

Good news for a change -- wonder if the liberal media will report it?

I'm sick. I am too! I don't understand why everyone was not for the removal of Saddam and his regime after reading all of this. WMD's are only a small portion of why the man should have been removed!

No kidding the Dims are not happy! I would love to throw this in their faces and ask them how they could not have removed such an evil man and why even today the likes of Dean do not think we should have removed Saddam!

Our President has led us in changing the world. Charles Krauthammer notes:
(1) In Afghanistan, the Taliban have been overthrown and a decent government has been installed.
(2) In Iraq, the Saddam Hussein regime has been overthrown, the dynasty has been destroyed and the possibility for a civilized form of governance exists for the first time in 30 years.
(3) In Iran, with dictatorships toppled to the east (Afghanistan) and the west (Iraq), popular resistance to the dictatorship of the mullahs has intensified.
(4) In Pakistan, once the sponsor and chief supporter of the Taliban, the government radically reversed course and became a leading American ally in the war on terror.
(5) In Saudi Arabia, where the presence of U.S. troops near the holy cities of Mecca and Medina deeply inflamed relations with many Muslims, the American military is leaving -- not in retreat or with apology but because it is no longer needed to protect Saudi Arabia from Hussein.
(6) Yemen, totally unhelpful to the United States after the attack on the USS Cole, has started cooperating in the war on terror.
(7) In the small, stable Gulf states, new alliances with the United States have been established.
(8) Kuwait's future is secure, the threat from Saddam Hussein having been eliminated.
(9) Jordan is secure, no longer having Iraq's tank armies and radical nationalist influence at its back.
(10) Syria has gone quiet, closing terrorist offices in Damascus and playing down its traditional anti-Americanism.
(11) Lebanon's southern frontier is quiet for the first time in years, as Hezbollah, reading the new strategic situation, has stopped cross-border attacks into Israel.
(12) Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations have been restarted, a truce has been declared and a fledgling Palestinian leadership has been established that might actually be prepared to make a real peace with Israel.
Middle East: The Realities
Against the freeing of millions from torture, Demunist anacephalics have sixteen words--which remain true throughout their ersatz brouhaha.
Demunists would rather the torture, mutilation, murder, rape and imprisonment go on and on--and they desperately desire another domestic terror attack.
Such is the living history of Treason which is the legacy of the Left.

This thread couldn't have come at a *better* time for me. I got into it with a woman at work today who insisted that the Iraqi's don't want us there. And shucks, SHE doesn't know anyone there, so why should SHE be concerned?
Bring our boys home, she said.
I was angrier than you could imagine.
Thanks for compiling an absolute nightmare.
