LOL! Nicotine used to be used as an insecticide - in fact, it was a staple in early mystery novels, where somebody was always being done in by an old lady using the nicotine solution she normally sprayed on her potato bugs.

Personally, I say it's better and a lot more fun smoked.

Jakarta Kretek and gin & tonic. Four toxins, but generally no symptoms from the juniper berries. The clove makes your lips tingle and is an excellent flavor combination with gin.

One doctor I heard of was weaning a group of people off of smoking. He took a couple of packs of cigarettes and distilled all the nicotine from them. Then he took the group to a slaughterhouse where he put the nicotine into syringes and injected it into a couple of old broken-down nags.

Each horse keeled over and died before he'd completed the injection.
