I'd put him closer to Joe, I guess. I know he's a BIG Clinton supporter and threw some fund-raisers for Shrillary.

Heh, the problem with Luthor is that he has done things worse than bin laden to the USA. We might as well elect bin laden president.

I used to collect Marvel, but DC stuff rarely, usually Batman titles. Batman punch a cop? Not typical in my memory.

Take a look at the "Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel. Batman comes out of retirement as an old man, when the Joker escapes yet again. One of my favorite scenes is when the new (female) police commissioner pulls a gun on him and tries to arrest him to prevent him from going after anybody as a vigilante, he smacks her in the face, takes her gun away, goes "Hmm, nice gun", and flies off in his BatCopter.

Different situation, though. She was in his way while he was after the Joker. In this case he attacked a cop who was only doing his job, protecting civilians, for pretty much no reason. Just felt like punching out a good cop. Of course, it was "all a dream", so it doesn't matter. Still ridiculous, though.

Oh, yeah! I remember that, a buddy had that one, I wish I did now. Miller's stuff was really pretty good.

Even though it might be heresy in the comic community, I never got into Miller. I do like Mark Wade (wish he'd come back to JLA) though.

They'se sort of reformed him lately, or at least made him evil in a more realistic manner. He's sort of the epitome of evil corporate white guy, whereas he used to be a lunatic who wanted to take over the world for some vague reason.

Anyway, you're talking to a guy here who thinks the Empire in Star Wars gets a bum rap. The Rebels are just a bunch of left-wing radicals running around blowing stuff up, without a viable plan for governing after they win. But I digress....

Heh. :) I really liked his work on Spider-Man (everyone I spoke with around that time said Mary Jane had never looked, uh, "better.") I met Rob Liefeld once, and although most folks told me he was an a-hole, I didn't see any of it.

Have not seen the issue but after reading the thread, you and others state it is a dream of Superman's. I wonder if the writer was trying to imply that Superman thinks that Batman is really out of control?

Now I feel better.

You know, if Bill Clinton can be elected president, I see no reason Lex Luthor couldn't be. Lex is smarter but no more evil.

What have I been smoking? I don't know, but when I look at the first page of your post history, I see pictures of the Village People and about 10 posts relating to homosexuality. Coincidence, or something more?

Lex is smarter but no more evil.

LOL Very true! And President Luthor (of the "Tomorrow Party") makes sure he has diversity in his cabinet. Conservative Jefferson "Black Lightning" Pierce is his Secretary of Education. Which PO'd Green Arrow to no end. :)
