Let Riordan run in the recall election. Grayout Davis will be forced to spread out his resources to attack on multiple opponents. Plus, Riordan would, in fact, siphon votes away from the Democrats. The type of voters that Riordan attracts are not conservative at all. They are RINOS and RAT-leaning independents.

Freeped the poll. Riordan needs to just go away, he's not wanted. He already ran once and lost so if he wants to run again he should do so as a "D".

Assuming Riordan is still vaguely sentient (an assumption), and no marque name Dem runs, he is the odds on favorite to take all the marbles if he runs. Simple math really.

If Riordan takes votes from the socialists (dems) doesn't this tell you NOT to vote for him???

You assume name recognition makes up for being an empty suit.

You can be SURE that the dem strategists are HOPING the DUMB Republicans will show up with MULTIPLE candidates, for the election.
And the SMARTER dems will put forth a single candidate, and will WIN.
The best outcome for Republicans will come about, if the "smokey backroom" can possibly result in ONE Republican candidate.
My fervent wish is for Simon to duck out. Arnold is apparently out.
Riordan is 73, with health issues. Davis already trashed him, and Simon beat him in the primary.
If McClintock and Issa go on the ballot, they will split the conservative votes.
I hope the Republican party has enough sanity, to not waste this entire episode, by splitting the vote.
I am not optimistic.

Maybe he can take all the marbles in this special election...not bad for a guy who's lost all his marbles.

I saw it earlier today. He was down to 50 or 51% from 59 a day ago. Only about 500 or so had voted tho. He is not as loved as the leftist media is trying to portray him.
Have faith!!! All this circus atmosphere will be over soon. Most folks are not going to run, they just want to have a copy of the filing papers to impress their friends and neighbors. IMO. ;-) They'll probably be available on eBay before ya know it. :-)
