The Recall Committee also included an appeal to continue the legal battles ahead. Passing this along FYI as court actions continue to mount and these folks seem to be taking all contenders head on.

So many of you kindly responded to our urgent request for funds since our legal efforts to qualify the recall measure (and then prevent it from being thrown off the ballot) have drained the funds we had in our account.

Now we are officially launching the "YES on RECALL" campaign and we desperately need to raise $350,000 in the next four weeks.

We need your help.

ANTI-RECALL FORCES ARE USING _YOUR_ TAX DOLLARS TO DEFEAT THE RECALL

Would this be the same State that is already 38 BILLION dollars in the red?

Way to go! Think Dan Walters of the Sacto. Bee might be interested?

Seventeen million over three years to promote the wonders of unionism seems a bit extravegant, even in a state as large as ours. One can only wonder what other 'nuggets of fiscal prudence' dwell in the finer lines within the fudget budget.

Good find!

I am a California native, living in Colorado Springs...I refuse to move back. But, I have sent this to my brother and my son who are still stuck there.

I suggest all FREEPERS with any contacts in California should copy and paste this into an email and send it to them.

And maybe, someone should forward this to the Feds, as well.

"Institute for Labor and Employment at the University of California"

This is one of the first GROUPS OF LIBERALS whose funding should be stopped! NOW!!

$4 mil - outrageous! We have electricity and water issues which need that $4 mil.

Blew my stack when I read your post. Following is the
E-Mails I sent to my three representatives(?).

This is outrageous! How dare they use my tax dollars to fund a recall that I fully support. No matter what your
politics, you are all my representatives and had better act accordingly - one more slap in the face and I
promise there will be several more recalls!

Just a follow up to our taxes being used by the Anti-
Recall group - this takes the cake. If Governor Lowbeam
should win, he COULD request we taxpayers reimburse him
for all of his expenses. Ready for that?

I'm forwarding this to John and Ken, L.A. radio's junkyard dogs. I'll bet they will give it a little airtime.

Just sent to the Los Angeles Daily News. They should appreciate it since I mentioned I'm a subscriber who is going to renew because of their objective coverage of the Recall effort.

I hope we don't get more Peoples Republic of Kalifornia refugees here in Arizona.

Seal the borders with California AND Mexico, please! :)

Maybe we can have a nationwide recall election on California's statehood status.

They'd have to rearrange the stars and stripes back to 49, but it would be a more perfect union!

The downside is, we'd have a communist nation on our border, but hey, we could always invade if they piss us off too much, something we can't do now.

Jay Garner could run California!

A few years ago, the Missouri Attorney General spent time in prison for using state copy machines, computers etc for his campaign. Yes, prison time.

Related issue?

Heard that the State is going to push (an existing ? / a new ? ) court ruling that claims that you DON'T have to vote "Yes" on the recall option to choose a "new" candidate.

Thus, democrats could BOTH vote "No recall" and then vote FOR somebody else (a "bad" republican ? or a replacement liberal or a throw-away vote like "Mickey Mouse" even! ) just to screw up the actual totals.

What is the relationship between the "Institute for Labor and Employment" (which is the organization receiving state funds) and the "State Building & Construction Trades Council of California" (which is the organization holding the Anti-Recall Seminars)?

I can't seem to find the link between the two - can you help?
