Living in filth with garbage lying around, dressing like a slob, poor personal grooming, never learning to cook because ordering in pizza is preferable, and never using your imagination are all values true conservatives should teach their kids.....

Yes. I know that I would have switched to men if I knew that I could have my closet organized and would wear color co-ordinated clothes. Good thing I discovered women first. I could have been a Liza Minnelli fan. Oh, the humanity!

Actually the mesage of the show seems to me that with a little guidance you can improve your life....in fact it's clear they showed anyone can be straight and have the same well groomed, well organized, well cultured attributes STEREOTYPED to homosexuals. To me it seems the fact that the helpers are gay as opposed to the straight decorators on say Trading Spaces only adds humor to the show and is the angle that makes the show unique.

I rather have my children watch this show than a lot of the other violent sex-laden macho garbage on TV. God forbid someone sees the difference between living like a hum and living with a little class.

Let me ask this. Since you are so paranoid that the gay recruiters are coming to get you, do you think the straight participants on ths show are suddenly going to take up salsa lessons, wear a dress and take interest in Barbara Streisand movies in excess? Clearly the guys who were made over on the show were very straight AND were very happy to go through the show.

TV shows and ads have been giving this same impression of dads/father figures for over a decade. The dad is the dumbest cast member, easy to fool, easy to make mistakes. The housewife is smarter and can fix anything the husband louses up. But she should not feel confident, the teenager (or tween even) is smarter than all of them.
