[history]
The House took a rare swipe at two federal appeals court decisions last week, voting to stop enforcement of rulings that public schools may not recite the Pledge of Allegiance and that a courthouse may not post the Ten Commandments.

Someone must have driven through D.C. with a "Conservatives are watching, look busy", bumper sticker on their car. These amendments do less than nothing, it just makes them look busy. Why don't they do their constitutional job and impeach and remove from the bench these anti-American activist scum judges?

Looks good on paper, but will this do anyhting? I hope so.

Well, I don't know. Somehow doubt that many Democrats would cross the aisle to impeach any liberal judges. Would be an interesting exercise, but would probably meet about as much success as the Clinton impeachment trial. Now, if the Senate Republicans suddenly held a two thirds majority, well...

When courts make law, rather than interpreting it, they have usurped legislative power. The legislatures have the right to assert their power in whatever manner possible, IMO.

There is a movie out called "Signs". One of the lead characters, Morgan, holds the strike out record, when asked why he kept swinging at the ball he said, "It felt wrong not to swing".
I wish Republican senators would just "swing away". I think it would improve their chances of a majority in the Senate. The "New Tone" in D.C. doesn't neccessarily have to be capitulation does it? Folks need to see them fighting the good fight, loudly, bravely, and on color tv.
Look at all the things Dick Armey said after he retired. Why did he sit like a stick his entire political life and never answer back to liberals and their lies while he was in office where it could have made a difference? Evil flourishes when good men remain silent, and Americans at their core are addicted to the truth. Level impeachment charges at liberal judges, call attention to the problem and let people know that these Senators at least realize there is a problem and that they will try to do something real about it.
