Just keep calling special sessions and put together a vigilant group of "concerned citizens" to take turns camping out at selected Dem Senators place of business or wherever they might show their yellow backsides to "observe".
Sooner or later "enough" (at least 2?) will show up to constitute a quorum.

Is this gonna go on forever? Will Republicans EVER get their redistricting?

It is true... Democraps are a bunch of wet noodles... (I'm being very nice here).
I cannot wait for the day redistricting occurs with or without them... lights, camera, action.

Same here in southeast Texas, People are seeing as Democrats standing up to "washington politics" a la Tom Delay. Perry and Dewhurst are shooting themselves in the foot.Thank you, I got flamed for saying something similar to what you are saying. Some people in this state do not have a clue that this is hurting the GOP. They are only seeing what they want to see, they are not seeing the sympathy or unity that this is creating for the democrats or chickencrats or whatever you want to call them. They think that somehow this will magically solve all of our problems and we will win easily next year.
Anytime a politician of either side is able to paint themselves as "fighting Washington politics", they are going to do well at the polls. Perry does not help matters by looking like an errand boy at times. One gets the feeling that he will do whatever the Republicans in Washington tells him to do, and he's better than that and smarter than that.
It doesn't help when the maps coming out of Austin look like something a two year old drew.
There would be no room for debate at all if the maps were drawn sensibly. There is no reason to split a town of less than 20,000 people into three districts. None. It looks idiotic, and you've just lost a few thousand votes in the next election. Magnify that across the state and 2004 will be tough for us.
All this time, effort, and money spent on re-districting should have been spent on finding and running solid Conservative candidates against democrat incumbents. We can beat them if we just run quality candidates. There are some in our party that give up to easily and think it can't be done, and they are dead wrong. It has been proven time and again in this state, that Republicans can win against democrats who have been around for years.
We are not a bunch of cowards, we can beat them at their own game in their own districts. We just need to clean the naysayers out of the GOP leadership and get people in there that have a backbone and are willing to rise to the occasion.

Unfortunately, it also sounds like this is a truly amatuer situation being conducted by amatuers. The media didn't indicate what you just told me, which puts a different light on it. Anytime you pay minimum wage to anyone, that's the work you get because that's what you paid for. Strange how there can be so much responsibility handed to a bunch of part time working people.

Actually, it has something of the opposite effect of what you've described. Rather than attracting those from the bottom of the barrel, it skims off the top. Unfortunately, in Texas, this system of token pay for legislators, insures that the working class need not apply. Wealth is always an advantage in politics, but this makes it almost necessary.

They still sound unprofessional whether they are rich or poor. I just know they are liars that will not step up to the plate and do their job. Anytime you do not do what you are elected to do, you are lying to your public. That's why you were put there.
