Are you kidding me? Bloomberg can't find anything better to do that do open a school for gays. Kids shouldn't be gay at 15.
What about a school for skinny, smart guys with big glasses? They get picked on. They could use their own school.
3.2 million for 100 kids! That's $32,000 / per student. Even elite expensive private schools cost about $15K/yr. And Bloomberg wonders why NYC is in budget trouble. Will Bloomberg pay for this by writing people tickets for picking their nose in public?

Expect more of the same. Not only are homosexuals trying to take over the education of children, but they are trying to take over churches as well. We have a lot of people who try to claim that homosexuals are just like everyone else and that they aren't trying to push their lifestyle on everyone else. By the time those people wake up to what's going on, it might just be too late.

Homosexuality:
Homosexuality is deviant sexual behavior and a mental illness.
Homosexuals: 1) subject their body parts to uses nature did not intend, such activities often presenting immediate risk to the participants; 2) are prone to greater suicide, depression and other mental disorders and deficiencies than the heterosexual population at large; 3) are prone to far greater sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, than the (normal) heterosexual population; 4) molest young people (pedophilia) at a far greater rate than heterosexuals; 5) engage in degrading sexual promiscuity, oftentimes engaging in risky sex with many partners during the same event; 6) are engaged in aggressive and widespread efforts to indoctrinate our children by introducing the homosexual lifestyle using public schools as the primary indoctrination vehicle and likewise, through the movie/music/TV industry, with the dual goals of gaining school-age acceptance of homosexuality and encouraging sexual activity among children, especially same-sex experimentation; 7) view most everything through a mindset heavily biased in favor of the homosexual lifestyle and culture, which renders them mostly useless when asked to opine on matters that normal heterosexuals better resolve.
The mental deficiencies described herein applying to homosexuals shall not be confused with the deficiencies associated with the left wing democrat/socialist/marxist/ feminist/environmentalist minds, etc., which have their own distinct set of mental disorders.
This doesn't even touch on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality.

Aside from the costs...this is EXCELLENT. A school with 100 gays in it means a regular school system with 100 less gays in it.

Would somebody named Brown please sue the Board of Education to throw out this "Separate but Equal" education system?
Chief Justice Earl Warren said: "We conclude that in the field of public education the doctrine of 'separate but equal' has no place. Separate educational facilities are inherently unequal."

This is a tax-supported recruitment center aimed DIRECTLY at the kids in NY. Call it what it is because its coming to a school near you in the near future.

This will be an excellent chance to track the kids through life. Sort of like a big medical study. I'd bet that the life expectancy is radically lower than any other school.

Expect the law of unexpected consequences to make an appearance sooner rather than later. Of course gay teachers and administrators will gravitate to the school. I'd imagine that a litmus test is in place already.
Should be interesting to watch the snowball of sexual predator stories coming out of the illustrious hall of learning.
If nothing else, the school will no doubt have highly polished knobs.

This isn't all bad. In fact... I think I'm in favor of seperate schools for gays and lesbians.....with the agreement that once a person attends that school, there is no acceptance in a hetero school. And since these schools are available..... there is a no tollerance attitutde toward homosexuality in the hetero schools.
Honestly.... that isn't a bad solution as far as I'm concerned.

"Although The Harvey Milk School has been operating with two classrooms for 20 years, $3.2 million is being spent by the City to expand it to take 100 students. Named after a gay San Francisco politician assassinated in 1978, the school will be funded jointly by the city education department and a gay rights youth advocacy group."

This is a perfect opportunity to use, either, vouchers for the use of the school, or force it to be funded by the parents of the students. If they can't cover religious schools, then they shouldn't cover something that is not defined in the Constitution. Additionally, no music, sports, or theater classes should be offered because that is what the main schools are taking out to save money. There should be a complete stoppage of the, I'm sorry, teaching of deviate sex in the public schools as if they are separating them, straight people don't need the instruction. There's a lot more.........

Cheer, cheer, for we are all dames,
Nuts to the tests, just bring on the games.
Sure all our jocks may have limp wrists,
But they fight for the puce and mauve.
With apologies to the Notre Dame fans and their fight song.

A New York gay school named after a San Francisco gay politician operated by taxpayer funds. Just another way for queers to access the youth for brainwashing.

We have them in New York City, actually a few specialized science high schools. Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech.
