[history]
The "new" anti-Semitism is as virulent as ever, but it's often easy for Americans Christian and Jew alike not to notice.
Christians and Jews get along here. Evangelical Christians have become some of the best friends Jews have, and, for their part, most Jews are not as suspicious of Evangelical motives as they once were. Since the anti-Semites abroad regard America as the great Satan and Israel the little Satan, we all feel equal-opportunity hate.

The Democrats were the party of segregation, witness the rise of the Dixiecrat.Well, I did say twice that it was conservatives of both parties.
Lincoln was a Republican.
Not in the Twentieth Century.

If you follow Yonif's postings, you know he rarely excerpts.
If you're in tune, you'll know why he didn't on this.

The letter in that magazine is an urban legend. But the subtsance of what was said was true:
Martin Luther King, Jr. in a 1968 appearance at Harvard, where he said: When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews, You are talking anti-Semitism. [ from The Socialism of Fools: The Left, the Jews and Israel by Seymour Martin Lipset; in Encounter magazine, December 1969, p. 24. ].

I frequently cheat by continuing the article in response 1, but JWR should be excerpted per FR rules.

excrementitious Isn't that a great word! Daniel Day Lewis says it in "Gang of New York." It just sound so much more---civilized than sh**ty.

I guess I'm not in tune. Out of the loop. Etc.
I used to go out of my way to go to the JWR articles, though.

"how the hell do you think Gentiles feel about the CONSTANT accusations of anti-Semitism?" Man, you're going to have to get specific or you lose any credibilty you may or may not have.

I don't think Jews have a viable home in the Democrat Party or the Left any more. Farrakhan and the Muslims keep making inroads into the Black community, which is an important segment of the Democrat Party, and the Left. With that, anti-Israel rhetoric will increase.
Eventually, Jews will have to wake up and realize that safety and security for themselves, their children, and their assets will only come from the Right. This love affair that many Jews have for Leftist issues will eventually have to end

Rough day. I trip over a thread, and manoman, it's hell to pay. Next thing I know, I'm some sort of idiot who's forgotten all about FR history and lore, much of which I watched as it happened.

Have you been reading the same articles from Jewish World Review that I have? I don't have a specific number for you, but there has been a constant stream of commentaries accusing and discussing anti-semitism, including the one posted on this thread.
To: SJackson
At least that's the impression one gets if one only reads this here thread.

At least that's the impression one gets if one only reads this here thread. Thought it was directed at me. I'd love to comment on the accusations on the thread, but thus far none of them are specific enough. Of course, as I noted before, I may have misread the article.

I guess my point was, and it was a bit silly, that it's hard to read the article if it's not in here. Linking as excerpts can cause a major pain out here at my end.

I agree. More important they're hard to access later. Lots of sites don't archive, and even JWR archives some of their authors by name only, so clicking a link in a month will get you the most recent article only, you have to go searching for the old one.

I usually go out of my way to make sure I have an archived page before I list it as an excerpt. If the URL has the date in it, then it's probably going to stay put.
Townhall.com can burn you really easily if you're not careful. The archive pages look *exactly* like the dailies.

The Serbs of eastern europe have suffered grievously at the hands of duplicitous west, the vatican and their islamic terrorist "tools".
The Serbs kept a communist regime in power because it had taken up the mantle of Serbian nationalism. Serb paramilitaries committed many horrible acts and were said to have committed even worse ones. Yugoslavia and American Serbs utterly failed to mount an effective PR campaign.
What did you expect to happen?
Furthermore, Israel and the American jews, almost without exception, supported the clinton/NATO anti-Serb "pogroms" of the 90's as "humantarian" intervention.
1. Israel stayed neutral.
2. American Jews, feeling guilty about their parents and grandparents failure to act during WW2, decided that a percieved genocide was unacceptable.
Teh failure of the Serbs to mount a PR campiang made this inevitable.
3. Soem Jews hoped that helping Muslims in Kosovo would take pressure off Israel. Stupid policy.
They seem to forget their own history when it comes supporting "politically correct" notions like annihilating the Orthodox Christian population of eastern europe.
What the hell are you talking about?!
The universal prejudice practiced against the historical peoples of the Balkans ranks with anything the jews have experienced.
Albanians are just as old Serbs.
