The Minnelli-Gest wedding was a spectacle fit for …well, a Weimar Republic drag club. There was velvet rope, limousines lined up down the block, and more than 1,000 guests. Jackson was Gest's best man; Elizabeth Taylor was Minnelli's maid of honor. Diana Ross, Anthony Hopkins, Mia Farrow, Donald Trump, Joan Collins and David Hasselhoff were in the audience.
With such a collection of freaks sanctifying this event how could it end in anything other than disaster?
