Press Secretary Hatsuhisa Takashima: Good afternoon, today I have four announcements I would like to make.
The first announcement is about assistance to the Palestinian Authority (PA).
In order to assist the reestablishment of the security apparatus of the Palestinian Authority, the Government of Japan decided to provide US$300,000.00 worth of radio communication equipment and technical assistance to the Palestinian Authority for the setup of a wireless communication system.
With this assistance, provided through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Government of Japan expects that the Palestinian Authority will be able to reestablish its security control system so that the implementation of the "road map" for the Palestinian and Israeli peace process will be further advanced through the better security in the field in the area governed by the Palestinian Authority.

Great. Now the terrorists will have a better way of communicating with each other when commencing terrorist attacks. They will be able to better coordinate on attacks, and also be able to warn each other during IDF counter-terror operations.

The IDF can jam those radio transmissions as easily as they please, so I would think that it does not pose a real threat to Israel and its citizens or soldiers. However, the PA 'security' apperatus would indeed be better equipped to fight Hamas, Islamic jihad, etc. (If they are at all inclined to do so... And, unfortunatly, we both know that they aren't.)

If the Japanese really want to help, they should offer to transport the lot of the Palestinians to one of their islands and let them have it.
Okinawa would be ideal. Given that there are plenty of their own people already there, they can then experience what happens when you offer 'help' of any kind to terrorists.

What! Japan does not have this kind of money to waste, regardless of the issues. They think they can get oil from this. My country is overall on the right team but a lot of little issues to work out.
