LOS ANGELES, and WASHINGTON, July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce Nestande, campaign spokesperson for former United States Congressman Michael Huffington today (July 25) issued the following statement:
"Former Republican United States Congressman Michael Huffington today obtained nomination papers to run for Governor of California from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder. He paid the $3,500 filing fee and has until August 9th to complete the paperwork and return the documents to the County. After much encouragement by friends and supporters to consider seeking the office of Governor, he made the decision to consider his candidacy now that an election date has been set.
"The former Congressman lost to Senator Dianne Feinstein by the very slim margin of 1.6% in the 1994 race for United States Senate. Mr. Huffington, like all Californians, is deeply disturbed by the existing fiscal crisis that clearly adversely affects a broad range of issues from job creation to the credibility of all educational and governmental institutions in California. The former Congressman feels qualified by his background in finance to successfully deal with this deepening financial crisis and re-establish California's fiscal integrity. Mike Huffington's candidacy would discredit the desperate claims by Gray Davis that the Governor's Office will be captured by a right wing conspiracy.
"Mr. Huffington will make a decision regarding his candidacy during this two week filing period. An announcement will be made when that decision has been finalized. Until that time no further statements will be forthcoming."

Arianna once tried to get Moonbeam Jerry Brown to marry her which gives you an idea about her taste in men. She likes to play up the fact that she once "dated" Jerry Brown, but I saw them appearing together on a talk show once and he corrected the impression that they had dated by saying,"We went out to dinner one time."
She is a star-dating,gold-digging,fame-seeking leach. She and her sodomite ex-husband make a perfect pair.

She did very well in slicing and dicing Dole's campaign as meaningless. We exchanged notes on her effort there, in which I noted that she tended to be a kook, but she was gracious in not taking offense. Since then, her kook quotient has increased. Plus, she is largely incoherent. She would NOT make a good lawyer. You heard it here first.

I've got a feeling a lot of other nutcases will run for governor in California. Why? Because you don't need anything near a majority to win. You could actually win the governor's office there with as little as just 20% of the vote if there are enough candidates. This is sure to bring out the nutjobs. Let's start our California Gubernatorial Campaign Nutcase list. So far we have Ms Zsa Zsa voice, her GAY ex-hubbie, Michael Savage. Will Tom Leykis be next? Who else?

Maybe but they will be FUN to watch. Of course. Sorry. I didn't mean to get my panties in a knot, but I live in his former district and we conservatives are still feeling the embarrassment of having elected that twit.
I think the recall may have some unintended consequences so I am not excited that this will save our state from the pinkos. But I did sign the petition just so I could watch the fireworks.
The fun factor just went off the chart!

Didn't he turn gay after sleeping with Arianna? Yeah, and then she did that "bed" tour with "Me, Al Franken." That must be what drove Franken nuts.

Michael does not have a lisp, but he is as cold as ice. Most gays I know have considerably more warmth. Michael is nothing so much as an animated cadaver.

Diluting the pro-gay RINO vote. Very good!

I didn't mean to get my panties in a knot, but I live in his former district and we conservatives are still feeling the embarrassment of having elected that twit. I heard that Michael Huffington was a HORRIBLE Congressman. Let's forget about politics. He was really lousy in terms of constituent services. I heard that he hated dealing with his constituents and felt like he was above having to be of service to the voters.
With a crappy record like that he wants to run for Governor?
