Very good Bob. Way to go Cathryn. Folks should remember to click the FRN FRC (Free Republic Columnists) icon every day or so, on the top of the Latest Threads page. There they can read the latest FRN FRC Columns.

The Perversion of Feminism One of the many reasons I LOVE Hillary Clinton is that she is almost singlehandedly responsible for the marginalization/destruction of NOW as a viable, believable, reliable organization.
When Ireland and her minions allowed Hillary to SILENCE them on any criticism of Wille, they did more than anyone could have thought possible to destroy their credibility.
Their message became: It's okay to brutalize, rape, grope, fondle, threaten, use powerful positions to seduce and abuse young women, if you are a leftist DemocRAT. And after doing all that to these women, they didn't say a peep about the vicious attacks on those victims who dared to speak out against these abuses.
I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts that 80% of Americans took great notice of that horrible FACT.

Good to see. I'm sure there will be many more to come. Will you help write something for the "Wild College Girls of FreeRepublic" special I have planned in the future?

You said that the feminists, -- "don't address the other issues that face women, such as affordable childcare and comprehensive healthcare."
Perhaps you should make clear that government shouldn't be involved in either of those issues, - any more than it should be in the abortion issue.

I was thinking that, too. Are we conservatives here, or socialists? This one seems a little ... statist ... too:
As Serrin Foster, president of FFL, states, Abortion is a reflection that we have not met the needs of women. Women deserve better than abortion.
I cant put it any better than that.
Aren't women - like "regular" people - responsible for meeting their own needs? Who's this WE? It might be just careless phrasing, but it makes me pretty uncomfortable.

(The LORD Almighty, the LORD of power, the LORD defender against the Enemy.)
"After all, no one would dare suggest that a man give up his right to have children so that he can get ahead financially or career-wise. Saying something to that effect would more than likely earn you a few odd looks and perhaps even an inquiry into your mental state of being." That doesn't make any sense. Feminism vehemently discourages motherhood, but who's asking women to surrender their "right" to have children? Then there's men. I've yet to meet a young man who hasn't been advised by the majority of his peers that - as a result of feminist Family Court jurisprudence - marriage and fatherhood now pretty much amounts to a financial suicide pact. Nobody questions the sanity of people who say such things any more.

Talent and guts, Cathryn!
Damn, I'm proud to be your friend!

Good catch on the phrasing.
The socialistic way of writing/talking is so pervasive that even conservatives use it inadvertently.
Forresters use may not be inadvertent.
