The people squealing aren't lawyers or people in office, it's people she knows from HS and college. You can't gag them.It amazes me how many "best friends" this woman has..and how many of them are willing to publicly trash her.

Yes. If I were on either side of a case like this, reporters would have a difficult time getting negative testimony from acquaintances, much less friends.
Plus, I don't think it's all "trashing." If you read some of the quotes, they're simply factual(as they see it) statements. This latest bomb is a combination of people from her dorm(one only conceded the basic fact but said no more) and the POLICE CHIEF.
Maybe there's a reason.
