[history]
July 25, 2003 -- Months before she overdosed on medication in her parents' home, Kobe Bryant's young accuser reportedly overdosed in her college dorm, it was revealed yesterday.
News of yet another hospitalization could help Bryant's defense team cast doubt on the 19-year-old woman's credibility.

And really, you want to put Jerome Bettis and some of those other guys in with Mike Tyson, uhhhh... I did not post that list that included Tyson, Bettis and those other guys....
To: ValerieUSA
Exactly!

He looks a bit like Woody Harrelson...with hair.
To: dennisw
No offense to white guys, but he looks like a doofy white dude from the middle of nowhere.
He may or may not be the best damn lawyer on planet Earth, but his photo doesn't impress me.

That's an outright and disgusting lie.
So far the "defense team" hasn't done anything. Journalists, even one at that bastion of high-quality reporting the North Colorado Daily Mirror, are quoting POLICE CHIEFS and HER acquaintances and friends.
Talk about smear jobs. Put responsibility for these stories where it lies, not in some vast conspiracy that only makes sense if you believe Bryant to be the spawn of hell.

It's becoming clear why you're so eager to defend Kobe Bryant.

There will not be a trial. This case begs for a settlement. The nutcase will get some dough and Kobe will play the entire season.
To: ValerieUSA
There is more to this case than credibility - there is evidence. If she was raped, her mental condition is irrelevant. And what if the physical evidence is not conclusive and it comes down to a credibility battle? What if it is plausible that there was consensual sex between the two?

My father was white. My uncles are white. F U
I'm stating facts, he looks like Woody Harrelson. Hardly the paragon of the obviously brilliant mind.
I suppose it bothers you to hear that I think Matt Damon looks like just another white guy from Northeast Philly?
"Oh no, that must means he hates white people!"

Not, he looks like WOODY HARRELSON. Or, he looks like a DOOFY DUDE. Had to get the racial slam in there. Bet you got a lot of white friends though, eh?

There will not be a trial. This case begs for a settlement. The nutcase will get some dough and Kobe will play the entire season. This case is not about money. This one is the State of Colorado vs. Bryant. Any "settlement" would be Kobe pleading to a lesser charge or the state dropping the charges.
Any money issues which could be settled would be involved in a possible later civil case by the alleged victim.
To: over3Owithabrain
Try saying Kobe looks like a guilty black dude..... see if that is considered an inoffensive observation.
To: over3Owithabrain
It's becoming clear why you're so eager to defend Kobe Bryant.Dare I say it? But it's becoming clear also why some are so eager to lynch the man. That graphic in post #9, for example. That stereotypical can of Colt 45 malt liquor is just a little over the top, don't you think?
For the record, I'm white and not a sports fan.

Sure.... sure.... you keep thinking that.
To: over3Owithabrain
dumbass, I AM WHITE, even more, fractionally-speaking, than I am black or Indian.
Because you don't understand the context of what I'm saying, doesn't mean there are sinister reasons for my opinions.

You should address your complaints about post 9 to the author of post 9. Two wrongs don't make a right.
To: ValerieUSA
Because guilt is something completely different than someone being dorky. I'd have no problem with someone saying Jaleel White is one dorking look black dude.

See, he can make fun of black people too. What a guy!
To: StolarStorm
Wow, what a comeback.
Perhaps you'd like to address how friends/acquaintances and the POLICE CHIEF are in on this vast conspiracy? Must all be money, right? I mean, the fact that this HAPPENED, doesn't matter to you. It's all just Kobe's shadow army of detectives, relentlessly attempting to kill the accuser via suicide.
Well, seeing as how she's no good at it(Attempting suicide, or should we say seeking sympathy and attention)

Exactly my point. When our kids were in college even their grades were mailed to them rather than to us. The college had no problem accepting our checks tho.
Your child could be suffering serious problems and being treated at Health Services and the parents would NEVER be notified.
