Phony intelligence. Cooked intelligence. Faked intelligence. Sham intelligence. Hyped intelligence. Sexed intelligence. Phrases that have blanketed news coverage for weeks and weeks. Finally, finally -- at long last -- those Mullah-hating, Saddam-bashing White House neo-conners recklessly ruining the lives of innocent dictators for sport, cabaling for evil Halliburton and U.S. Big Oil, were getting their just desserts!

Tuesday they are killed.
Tuesday night ABC does an excellent primetime special that details how monstrous and evil the brothers were. However, the reporters in Iraq, one in Baghdad, warn host Charlie Gibson that many are afraid to believe they are really dead and the U.S. needs to provide proof.
Wednesday the U.S. announces they are considering releasing pictures of the bodies in order to assure the Iraqi citizens that the Hussein brothers are dead.
Wednesday night Peter Jennings makes the first (that I am aware of) criticism of this decision saying it would be hypocritical since we had complained of our dead soldiers being shown on tv.
Thursday morning the first set of pictures are released.
The media starts questioning if it was appropriate.
Friday morning video of cleaned up bodies is released which shows even more clearly the identities of Uday and Qusay.
Friday morning more ratcheting as James Zogby on MSNBC accuses the U.S. of behaving in a barbaric fashion and says they are acting just like the old regime and that we are "defiling" the bodies.
The chorus of voices decrying the release of pictures and videos increases through the morning.
The hypocrisy of this statement just makes my head spin. All this over a non lie! When did they get so morally righteous? I don't think I will ever be able to listen to the alphabet stations' news again with a straight face.
Great job as always John.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Overall a really fun read.
