They'd better start listening to their leader Bill Clinton - he, after all, is in a better position than anyone to know what Bush is acting on. And he nearly defended Bush the other night. First Clinton knows that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, but he kept his mouth closed until this week. He sent Terry McAuliffe out with the talking points about the STOU and the elusive WMD. He lets all the potential candidates fall into the trap and then he shuts the door, stating that the WMD are an indisputable fact. Whamo, fait'accompli, the slate is cleared for Hillary. It is also notable that he sent the heads of the DLC out with an article in the WSJ, decrying the takeover of the party by the leftwing, saying that they were negating all the centrist gains that Clinton made.
