... look like they were taken from an odd angle with a cheap Polaroid in an unlit cave.

I think the angle is just fine. Maybe people believe that looking at the ears is one of the best ways to identify a somewhat mutilated body. If the picture was straight on, you wouldn't be able to see the ears as well.

I was considering the Sam Peckinpah classic Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia, myself. Something about Warren Oates and the Mexican setting seems more apt than Bernie's surburbia and beaches.

I disagree. The pictures were given to the Iraqi officials to release. Any critcism will and should be directed to them. When we gave them over, we gave the Iraqi's full responsiblities.

Couldn't they have posed them a little more creatively? I'm sure that there must be at least two pikes somewhere in the Army's possession.

I like that idea, but I have some other suggestions. How about posing the stiffs with a nice slice of ham stuffed down their mouths? Or have them "pose" with 101st Airborne t-shirts on them? Maybe paint on smiley faces on them? When they're done with their "photo ops", make a video of their of their bodies being shoved into their own plastic shredders. Finish up with a scene of someone feeding pigs from something out of a plastic bag. It wouldn't have to be them, but the message would be clear enough.

I've had this feeling that Saddam was wasted a long time ago, but now I hope he's alive, in hiding, and sickly, somewhere. He can now watch all this stuff and get a feeling of what he put hundreds of thousands of his own people through.

This week is shaping up to be the most enjoyable since the Third ID's "thunder runs" through Baghdad. I sure wish I had a video of that.

We could not convince aducated (?) americans to convict OJ. What makes anyone think that these people will believe anything we tell them.

Well, I think the jury was convinced OJ was guilty... they just wanted him to get away with it!
