[history]
July 24, 2003 -- City Councilman James Davis was shot to death inside City Hall yesterday - blown away by a political rival he escorted around metal detectors minutes earlier.
Davis, an ex-cop who carried a gun, never got a shot off, but an officer assigned to guard another politician shot and killed Davis' attacker.

"My brother was a straight shooter who spoke his mind," Geoffrey Davis said. Now there's a poor choice of words.

It's bizarre how stories unfold. I remember yesterday they were closign bridges because the killer had gotten away..

Ha ha! It's a sad story but here is much unintentional irony here.

"...common practice..for elected officials, (i.e., self proclaimed elite), to skirt the metal detectors."
All one can say is: "stupid is as stupid does."

Another story I read identified the victim as black, but for some reason, made no identification of the race of the killer. Is there a reason that the victim's race has been identified, but not the killer's?

And why have there been no pictures of him?
To: kattracks
Interesting. This illustrates that the anti-gun politicians have people protecting them with guns.
Remember, "guns kill". But it the hands of the elite guns kill "them".
It is a clear sign of tyranny when the laws only apply to "them" and not to "us".

The Washington Times said the killer was black. However, a brother of Davis was quoted of saying "The racist are to blame."
I also wondered why there have been no pictures of ths shooter. And no mention of a wife and children or parents of the victim.

However, a brother of Davis was quoted of saying "The racist are to blame." That's the same thing that was said when a black Muslim killed Malcolm X

I remember yesterday they were closign bridges because the killer had gotten awayOnly because a Really Important Person was murdered, and a roomful of Really Important People were so terrified by the gunfire that no one seemed to be able to confirm that the shooter was right there in the room.
So, a bunch of Not Very Important people were stuck on the bridge and in traffic for an hour or so. So what, it's for the greater safety of us all.
I do a pretty good Bloomberg imitation, don't I?

Anyone have a picture of Askew? I can't seem to find one...

Charles Barron is the City Council member who said at the reparations rally in D.C. that he wants to slap white people.

When a gun stopped the shooter, why does Bloomberg blame guns?

There must be.
In the "St. Petersburg Times" [Ho-hum], they not only printed a colored picture of Councilman Davis [victim] but they had to tell the reader that he was black.
Not a word about the race of the perpetrator.
I guess they want the reader to wonder, as we are, if a white guy did it.
Typical liberal pap. After all, black on black crime is so mundane.

Because, as I have said before, Bloomberg is a totalitarian nancy-boy. Plus he's crazy. Things like guns, and beer, and cigarettes, and cars where you sit up front on the left instead of in back on the right, *really* bother him.
To: aristeides
It sounds like Askew was really tempted to do Barron too, doesn't it?
