Now this fellow yesterday, his full name was Othniel Boaz Askew. The name Boaz comes from this same time period in Israel's history. Boaz was the husband of Ruth and the great-grandfather of David. You can read about Boaz, obviously, in the Book of Ruth.
Sad, sad irony...
Thanks for that clarification because I was away from internet yesterday and was wondering why no pix of the shooter were on FOX. If he's a black lib, that 'splains it, I guess.....(not sure why it should though)

James Davis, a city councilman, and Derek Glover, an associate, started yesterday with an 11:30 morning meeting with Aaron Askew in the barber shop at 938 Fulton St. in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn. Both Davis and Askew carried guns. This placed an inauspicious tone to the day.
.... A city councilman may sound unimportant to some people. But there are politicians who wait eight and 10 years to have their turn. Many would kill for the job. Askew, 31, an accountant, saw banquets, cameras, crossing any police line, a placard in the car window that lets you park anywhere in the city at any time, being greeted by everybody on the street, and then going over to City Hall and standing in the same room with the mayor, with the mayor saying hello, maybe patting you on the back. The idea of all this changed the formation of the brain.
He announced that this was going to be his year. He would topple James Davis from his City Council seat. He made this announcement to himself. Nobody in Brooklyn knew he was alive.
Except James Davis. No matter that he had been elected before and was a former police officer popular in his district. He was a politician, and the part of that job that keeps the insides on a rack is an election opponent. Any opponent. If a delivery boy announces he wants to run, the politician sees the delivery boy on his ceiling every night. entire incoherent column
