President Bush, flanked by Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Richard B. Myers, and U.S. Administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, spoke this morning in the White House Rose Garden regarding the killing of the monstrous sons of Saddam Hussein, Uday and Qusay yesterday, and the positive effect it would have on the Iraqi people, and citing the great progress that has been made by the Coalition Forces in Iraq.
Later in the morning he welcomed former President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, and Argentine President Nestor Kirchner in the Oval Office. He also found time to honor the Presidential Medal of Honor recipients in the East Room, including Vaclav Havel, Van Cliburn, John Wooden, Roberto Clemente, Dave Thomas and Charleston Heston.
There are lots of pictures today, so enjoy your ample Daily Dose of Dubya!!

That is interesting. I remember reading that President Reagan's doctor said his was brought on when he had that fall from his horse and had to have surgery to relieve the blood clot that formed on his brain. Is this possible?
To: DrDeb
He'd like prayers for that Bible study, Deb.
Oh, btw, I sent him your address in my package today. He was really sorry that he threw the your box away, and couldn't thank you!

Backed up to tell you that your agreement means a lot to me. Also, re:
I think this should become our campaign slogan (particularly here on FR): Terrorism, Taxes and Judges!
Maybe insert one more "T" word and make it:
Terrorism, Taxes, and True Opportunity for Judicial Selections! (Too wordy? ... Personally, I'd like to get "Truth and Integrity" in there somewhere, too. But my virtues don't include patience or brevity.)

Heston appears to have aged 10 years since his last appearance a few months ago. How sad.

brought on when he had that fall from his horse
I could imagine that a brain injury could make it obvious. Once enough brain cells aren't working right anymore, it becomes obvious that something is seriously wrong. That fall from the horse could have marked the point for Reagan.

At one exibit on the Monguls they went on and on about how democratic a society they were, and went on to down this country. They had questioneers about how you enjoyed the exibit, something I had never seen in all their exibits. I wrote just what I thought. I understand it is quite bad at the Lincoln Memorial. What have we let them do to our country.

I also would like very much to send a care package.I'm glad that you brought it up because I saw something about that one day last week and after hindsight,I thought about doing it too.

The plan to go after the terrorists was laid on the President's desk 9/10/01. He had started the ball rolling shortly after taking office.

One of the boys who just got back from his "extended vacation in Iraq" said the water had lots of chemicals in it and one thing they most appreciated was the packages of powered Gatorade. It made it taste better AND added some nutrients they needed.

Barney is not a mutt. A mutt is a mixed breed dog. Barney is 100 percent Scottie. To someone like me who makes a living from pedigreed dogs calling him a mutt is not affectionate but an insult.

True - good point.
I'm not saying the war on terrorism wasn't a clear focus of W, perhaps even in the key list with Judges and Taxes, even before 9/11.
Reagans focus, and clear statements of how he intended to go about it, for 30 years prior to his taking office, was stunning.

Thanks for subbing, Ohio .. hope things are peaceful with you. Don't know why, but Rummy looks so Rooseveltian in today's pix ... see the resemblance? THANK GOD two of the monsters have left this earth, to terrify and torture no more. Great day for the cause of good.
