He was asking Senator Dick Durbin about our reasons for going to war against Iraq, if WMD and nuclear weapons were a real threat or if it was just "bullshit". I couldn't believe it! It came through on my TV loud and clear. And Matthews never skipped a beat or paused after he said it. He probably doesn't even realize he said it! Me thinks this uranium "flap" is going to cause Chrissy to have a heart attack or something. I seriously think he needs counseling because he refuses to let this story go.... hes obsessed with it. Someone needs to tell him to get over it and move on!

...or if it was just "bullshit". My, how times have changed. I remember visiting my grandmother at her ranch when I was a child while she and all my aunts and my mother (the daughter-in-law) were unpacking a trunk full of antique goodies that had arrived from the old family homestead in Kentucky. Out came an 1800s wedding dress and a man's suit -- each stitch hand done. Tiny white satin slippers that had never touched the ground because the bride had been carried to and from the carriage. Then a family Bible, candlesticks, a gun that had been carried in the Revolution and the War of 1812.
Finally at the bottom of the trunk were several handsome silver ladles and large spoons. My mother tried to get a closer look at them (probably to see if they were sterling or plate.) My grandmother wouldn't let her see them because of something engraved on them. My mother's curiosity would not be stifled, and finally my grandmother (by this time somewhat exasperated) said , "It just says these were made from melted down medals awarded for 'prize male cows.'"
My dear grandmother wouldn't even say the word 'bull' in front of the ladies because it wasn't proper -- they were male cows. I still have a letter she wrote me about my grandfather whom I never knew. In it she stressed that "He was a good man who never drank, never smoked, and never used foul language or took the Lord's name in vain."
Where have the people with high standards of behavior disappeared? Grandma had a hard life -- widowed with a farm to run during the Depression -- but she left her children and grandchildren with good character and golden standards.
BTW, I still have a handsome 1880s gold bracelet that she pulled out of that trunk and gave to me -- the only legacy that my family got. Nobody minded too much because it was broken. It has since been repaired, and I wear it on all special occasions and loan it to all brides in the family.
A pox on Chris matthews!

Good grief! Is that panties in a wad nitwit still on the air? I didn't realize he was still on, or that anyone might be watching him hyperventilate.

I couldn't believe it! It came through on my TV loud and clear.I think the word "shit" and its many modifications has gone the way of "hell" on the list of words that were once verboten but now considered only slightly offensive.
I noticed that "Entertainment Weekly" -a magazine that I occasionally read as a guilty pleasure has stopped using hyphens (bulls---) and now prints out the whole word. This change took place in just the last couple of months.
Blame it on South Park.
The "F-bomb" and certain words describing genetalia and sexual acts still warrant the bleep on TV. For how much longer, who knows?

I'll be interesting to see if it's bleeped out on the late night replay. I don't think PMSNBC can afford to edit anything, especially a show with a 00.4 rating.....BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

it's not the uranium flap per se - it's a combination of two underlying factors. 1st he wrote a book in which he's now been proven totally naive, a total fool and somebody who lacked any sense of compassion for the poor Iraqi people and not a single ounce of understanding of the human desire for freedom and liberty as he'd just have preferred seeing more mass graves filled with those whose final remains were larger than what was typically left dripping from Uday's shredders. 2nd Chrissy is a liberal DemoncRAT through & through - the only reason he was harder on Clinton than most was that he realized Clinton was dooming the DemoncRAT party and he was trying to save the party by condemning Clinton - now that era is over and he's back to his partisan hacksmanship and doing all he can to obstruct the Bush administration and freedom lovers everywhere.

Hey loser Chris,
We went to war with Iraq because for 12 years they violated 17 peace resolutions with the UN.

If a TV commentator uses a bad word and no ones watching, does the FCC make a sound? Excellent!! :)

Events also convinced Bush that we needed boots on the ground intell over there for the future.
While in Iraq, we will develope many CIA informants who can tell us what is going on in Iran and Syria.
There are many side benefits for the future, including no worry over Saddam and Sons eventual nuke problem.
No more millions from Saddam for the Palestinians either.

Speaking of "the angry white man," does Chris Matthews have a "thang" for Dick Cheney or what?
I've never seen anything quite like it; I had the feeling tonight that he's really upset because this story is falling apart!

I've sworn many times, here in fact, and probably will again in certain company, but every time I am reminded that the use of profanity demonstrates my ignorance and lack of a good vocabulary, education, etc., not to mention the courtesy for those who might be offended.....
...to simply summarize: Chris Mathews is an inconsiderate dumbass.

Glad to see the truth of our war against terrorism said again as the leftist world is burying what Bush said and has never waivered from...it is global, it is for our survival and western civilization's survival, it is different than any war in history, and it will take decades to win, but we must win and will win. Kill them before they can kill us. He has never changed the message. It needs repeating on a regular basis.

I had the feeling tonight that he's really upset because this story is falling apart!Exactly. Since clinton gave the marching orders for the dems to get off of this, he was like a child who had his favorite toy yanked away.
I managed to change channels without hearing AGAIN about "Scooter".
To: cyncooper
He looks MAD about it, too!
